I'm reading many sources but I can't find concrete times what days it happens and when? Also what experiences have you had here?

Please share!

Its schedule is dependent on Fantasmic show times. I believe palooza occurs about 4.5 hours prior to the last scheduled Fantasmic--particular other posters have better info. If there is no scheduled Fantasmic on a particular day (these days rare), there is no palooza. Multiple characters (around 6-8) appear with no PP photographers and can be seen with short waits since it is an unadvertised and unofficial M&G. I believe the current location is near the ToT exit.

Kenny the pirate has a complete schedule, with the daily times. a quick google search should get you to those schedules.

FWIW, last summer characterpalooza was in the streets of america area, and it was actually quite busy. I don't know how everyone in the park seemed to know, but the area was really busy with people waiting even before the characters came out. I think Mesaboy2 is right, characterpalooza is over by ToT now, but take a quick scan of characters and if theres someone you really want to meet, make them your first stop (just in case everyone else knows the day you're there too!)

Kenny the Pirate has each day's schedule on his crowd calendars for each month (actually, he posts calendars for each week). http://www.kennythepirate.com/crowd-calendars/ Personally, I don't like his format and it's easy to overlook the times on there...you just have to look under Hollywood Studios' schedule and the time(s) for Characterpalooza are listed there.

The location has changed quite a bit over time. We've done them in the Animation Building, in the Streets of America, and at the Tower of Terror exit, which is its current location. Look for the large gate right past the coffee stand. When Characterpalooza starts, they'll open the gates and the characters will be standing there. The characters that meet rotate, but since they're characters from Fantasmic, only characters that appear in Fantasmic meet at Characterpalooza.

Off the top of my head, over the years we've either met or seen Belle (blue dress), Mulan, Pocahontas & Meeko, Aladdin, Jasmine, Chip & Dale, Captain Hook & Smee, Genie, Goofy, Minnie & Pluto, the Evil Queen, Mary Poppins & Bert, Pinocchio, Gepetto, and Green Army Men during Characterpalooza. There are probably others, but those are ones I remember. The awesome part of Characterpalooza is that it gives you the opportunity to meet characters you can't meet regularly any place else. The not-so-awesome part is that you have no idea who is going to be standing there when the gates open. It's totally worth doing and it's a must-do for us every trip.

is the queen of hearts in fantasmic? we definitely met her at palooza last summer. (I always thought the tie to F! was...less direct? as in, not necessarily the characters from the show?)

Thanks and Kenny it just wasn't clear to me what the program was about reading it I love your site but the calendar is kinda all over the place.

Thanks everyone !

I thought I read somewhere that Character-Palooza was season. Is that true? I think I saw it doesn't happen in winter months.

Not really, it's all based on Fantasmic schedules. If they change, the Paloozas change. Just check your date near your time of visit.

You can read all kinds of fun stuff on the interweb

No doubt. Whenever I read it, was at a time I know I would have trusted your word over whatever I read, so I must be mis-remembering. I was going in December and decided not to even try to schedule it since I thought it wasn't happening.

if you ask a CM about it, they will act like they have no clue what you're talking about.
I asked 2 cms near the BatB stage to.clarify where palooza was, and they did point me to the right place but they were very careful in adding that they could not guarantee it would happen.

We saw it in November. We met genie, tiana, Pocahontas, the evil queen, Brer fox, Bert and Mary poppins, and Aladdin and jasmine (that may not be everyone, can't remember)
