Hello,
Ok I'm going to WDW May 17th thru May 23rd. This will be our first trip. I'm going with my mom, my 8 yo dd,and my 3 yo dd. My 3 yo will celebrate her 4th birthday on May 21st. Can everyone look at my ADR's that I've made and tell me if they look good.I'm on the DDP. I have park hopping options. We aren't doing the water parks either. We'll be doing the Morning EMH and possibly the Evening EMH as well. I wanted the ADR's restaurants to be pretty close to the parks that have the EMH since we'll be there anyway. If anyone knows where these restaurants are in relation to the parks we'll be in I'd appreciate any help on how to get there, and how long to expect the travel time to be.

Arrive Saturday May 17th : I have nothing planned for ADR's for that night because I don't know when we'll be arriving and how we'll feel.

Sunday May 18th, Epcot AM, MK PM EMH: 11:50 Am Princess storybook Akersomething in epcot I believe. 8:00 PM 1900 Park Fare (I'm not sure where this one is located)

Monday May 19th DHS AM AK PM EMH: 10:40 AM Hollywood and Vine

Tuesday May 20th MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 11:00 AM 1900 Park Fare

Wednesay May 21st AK AM,DHS PM EMH: 8:15 PM Chef Mickeys, I have ordered a cake for that night. I know that MK will be closing early for the PPP so the wishes fireworks show was going to be canceled, but I was told that MK will have another fireworks show for the party and that we may be able to see it from the contempory balconey. If not then we'll just go back to the room and sleep after the dinner.

Thursday May 22nd MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 7:30 PM Sci Fi

We would like to see Wishes and Sectromagic,Fantasmic, and AK at night. With this schedule I'm trying to figure out the best nights to go and see everything. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.We have no desire to see the 3 pm parades at the parks because I'm sure we'll be at the hotel room during the days for everyone to take naps :)

Hello,

Wednesay May 21st AK AM,DHS PM EMH: 8:15 Chef Mickeys, I have ordered a cake for that night. I know that MK will be closing early for the PPP so the wishes fireworks show was going to be canceled, but I was told that MK will have another fireworks show for the party and that we may be able to see it from the contempory balconey. Thursday May 22nd MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 7:30 PM Sci Fi

If I'm reading Wed. correctly ..

Wed-I assuming your 8:15 is dinner? If you are going to Animal Kingdom in the A.M., and Hollywood Studios for EMH, Chef Mickeys is over by Magic Kingdom in Contemporary. By the time you finish dinner at Chef Mickeys it would probably be close to 9:00-9:15 or so, you could catch the bus from Contemporary over to Hollywood Studios for your EMH. (May want to check the schedule to see what time the fireworks are listed for Magic Kingdom that night. (if they are around 9pm that might work out)

Thurs- you have listed Magic Kingdom in the AM, Epcot in the P.m. If you want to keep your reservations for dinner the Sci Fi is across the way at Hollywood Studios. You could take the boat over, but you may want to consider grabbing some dinner right at Epcot.?:confused3

Hope you have a magical trip:wizard:

is at the Grand Floridian. It's a simple monorail ride from the MK. Since you will be around the MK for bother your breakfast and dinner at 1900 this should be easy to reach.

The only evening you are in MK is on the 18th. With an 8:00 PM ADR it will be nearly impossible to make the 9:00 PM Spectro parade. Wishes, which is at 10:00 PM, is very doable.

Ok well we might go with this. I tried calling to get earlier ADR's for chef mickeys and 1900 park fare for dinner but its a no go. They are all booked up.
As for wanting to see Spectromagic,Wishes, AK at night, and Fantasmic, I have come up with a small plan for some of these.

On Sunday night we'll do dinner at 1900 fare park,go to MK and see wishes at 10 pm. So atleast we'll see Wishes.

On Monday night we'll do the AK at night ( I would like to do this park at night because it will be very hot during the day,I've read good things on the board about AK at night though)

As far as Fantasmic goes I'm thinking about calling and canceling my ressie at Sci Fi for Thursday. I'm sure I can pick up an adr somewhere in DHS (it doesn't have to be anywhere special) and catch Fantasmic that night. That night will be our last night in Disney. Now I was thinking for sentimental reasons to have wishes spectromagic showings to be for our last night, but if I want to see Fantasmic then it'll have to be this night, unless someone can see anything else that I'm over looking.

Thanks for all of your help :)

Just plan to eat CS at your resort If you have the day to spare on your tickets, this could be an good night to just do Spectro, Wishes or Illuminations. Fantasmic is a bit of work, so I'd hold that for another day. Illuminations is probably the simplest. It is always at 9pm and you just have to show up. Because Spectro is an parade there is some "positioning" involved.

If you can get to AK before 4pm do so, the parade is one of the most uniquely beautiful with great upbeat music. We thought it was a lot of fun and glad we didn't miss it.

Tuesday May 20th MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 11:00 AM 1900 Park Fare I would try to switch this out for Crystal Palace. It is another wonderful character meal and you won't have to leave MK to enjoy it. You have 1900 Park Fare twice, mix this in instead. CP is an option for a late breakfast or lunch. Good luck trying!

Are you 100% certain you want that cake? Chef Mickey's will give her a free Mickey cup cake and laminated placemat. Those two things coupled with the dessert buffet, including a sundae bar would be enough dessert for us. My 6yo nephew was very happy with his cup cake. He only wanted the icing anyway! We were there for breakfast so we didn't even have the dessert bar and a cake would have been overkill for us. Finally, DHS EMH can go until 1am. Last summer there was an amazing dance party for the kids in the Playhouse Disney space. That would be a great way to top off the birthday girl's day. It didn't start until about 10pm, so I'd plan for a nap before your Chef Mickey's meal.

Thursday May 22nd MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 7:30 PM Sci Fi
Not sure Sci Fi is worth the special trip to DHS. It may be impossible to get at this late date, but Coral Reef in Epcot would be a very good meal with the underwater aquarium environment. We had a great meal there and I highly recommend it.

We would like to see Wishes and Sectromagic,Fantasmic, and AK at night. Our 5yo/just about 6yo was scared during Fantasmic. He stayed for the entire show and liked it, but was on my lap and insistent (ie. grabbed my arms tight around him) that I hold him at parts of the show. Just know your 4yo and be prepared to hold, shield or slip to the back with her. With this schedule I'm trying to figure out the best nights to go and see everything. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.We have no desire to see the 3 pm parades at the parks because I'm sure we'll be at the hotel room during the days for everyone to take naps :)

Don't rule out the 3pm parade at DHS. Do some research while you are there. Early reviews here call it high energy, fun and they involve the kids in the audience. Might be some great memories and photo ops if you're there. We only did the AK parade last time and I hope to do the DHS one this time.

Sunday May 18th, Epcot AM, MK PM EMH: 11:50 Am Princess storybook Akersomething in epcot I believe. 8:00 PM 1900 Park Fare (I'm not sure where this one is located)

I would skip 1900 Park Fare this evening and instead spend the time in MK. This is a good evening to catch Spectromagic and Wishes.

Monday May 19th DHS AM AK PM EMH: 10:40 AM Hollywood and Vine

I actually prefer to go to AK at opening and go to the Safari - more of the animals are out in the early morning I think. Personally, I would spend the morning and afternoon at AK and maybe go to DHS for Fantasmic at night. Maybe go to Sci Fi for dinner tonight instead. We don't go on the roller coaster or Tower of Terror so we don't really need to go to EMH in the morning at DHS.

Tuesday May 20th MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 11:00 AM 1900 Park Fare

It's easy to get to 1900 Park Fare from MK but I wouldn't really want to make the trip if I wasn't staying at that hotel. It's just as easy to eat at the Crystal Palace inside the MK which I think a lot of the kids enjoy and saves some traveling around. Also, I love to eat in the countries in Epcot. If you're going to be in Epcot in the evening I would try to add a meal in one the countries. The Biergarten has a fun show, Mexico has great atmosphere. Also like to eat in France and Canada but I don't think they are as good for a 3 and 8 year old.

The kids will love Chef Mickey's, that's great for a birthday dinner!!!!

Thursday May 22nd MK AM, Epcot PM EMH: 7:30 PM Sci Fi

I would spend the evening at Epcot this night and catch Illuminations. This could also be a night to eat in a country at Epcot if you don't the other night.

Definitely catch Spectromagic, Wishes and Fantasmic. What about Illuminations? Love that. I'm not sure why you want to see AK at night? I've never caught anything much going on there at night.

If you arrive at a decent time the first night you might want to head a park for a few rides or parade or one of the shows. Or head to DTD for a yummy sundae at Ghiradelli's. They have some cute shops there also.

No matter what you do you all will have a great time!!!!!!!!!!

What hotel are you all staying in? Depending on my hotel location I do change my plans somewhat. Example, is it quick to get to MK or Epcot, etc.

We also like Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner in the MK, the Crystal Palace for any meal in MK, surprisingly we liked CRT for dinner which is a pretty easy ADR to get and we got to meet Cinderella before we ate and then the Godmother and Mice came around, the Biergarten for dinner in Epcot is always a hit with my family.

The only place in all the years we've been going that I wouldn't return to is Mama Melrose's in DHS. It took two hours for dinner and was just okay. Definitely not worth spending that much time there.

Have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll be staying at ASMovies. We will also have our own car if we want to drive to the parks or something.

I was thinking AK at night/dusk because it won't be so hot and the animals might be out moving around more then during the heat of the day.

Thanks for the replies so far :)

I cancelled Sci Fi on Thursday and added Nine Dragons 6:30 pm. We'll be in Epcot so we can see Illuminations. I actually FORGOT about Illuminations until a previous poster mentioned it. We all like chinese food so it'll still be good :)

They also have no reservations for CP on May 20th so I kept 1900 Park Fare. I'm sure the kids will enjoy seeing the characters,so I didn't cancel it just to get a non character meal in the park.

You are planning a lot of shuffling with a 3 y/o. I would try to match food in the parks instead of leaving. My son always fell asleep and well a sleep kid is no fun in a restaurant usually no room for strollers etc. YOur 8 y/o will probably be fine.

Also if it is your first time their will be lots of WOW moments that will change your plans.
