Going to Universal for the first time! We're staying at Cabana Bay and will have 4 day park to park passes. Can anyone help come up with a touring plan. We are thrill ride junkies so definitely want to ride everything. We'll also have little ones with us so want to hit the attractions for them as well.

And a quick question regarding baby swap. Is the swap only for the adult waiting with the little ones? Or can one of my older kids ride with me like at Disney?

In the now distant past, we had an older child that would ride with the first parent and when the parents swapped places, the older one got to ride again, with the other parent. So, both parents got one ride and the oldest got two rides...youngest just sat there in tears, because he wanted to ride so bad, but was too short.

Looks like your two oldest ones are the same age split as mine...are you opposed to them venturing off by themselves? If not, let them have some time that they can feel a bit of freedom, without having to wait on the little one to do everything.

You are staying onsite for 4 days, so you will find your own formula for what works by day 2...I would not bog myself down with a strict (or even semi-strict) schedule. You will run around a lot the first day and get your bearings.

The biggest thing is planning your meals...eat in the park, back at the room, offsite...many options. We usually opt for breakfast time food in the room, a middish-day meal in the park, and a City Walk or offsite meal for the evening.

What are your dates? That will help us help you. If it is Summer, X-mas, Spring Break, we might have to give you more of a detailed plan. Other times, you don't need to think too hard, just have fun with no real plan.

You are staying at CB, so you will not have the express pass (EP). That means you will have to go with the regular queues. Best plan is to take advantage of the early entry (EE) hour at one of the Harry Potter areas each day. From there, you can get on several more rides as the park opens to normal visitors before they can even get into lines, since you are already inside the park.

It is not like planning for a WDW trip. You will see.

We will be there last week of March. Definitely plan on using early entry. Is there a particular order for Harry Potter we should ride in?

I need to update my siggy. Now have 5 kids :). 22,18,12,7 and 9 weeks! Our oldest won't be with us. :(. But also traveling with friends that have a 7 yr and 4 yr old. My 18 and 12 yr old will definitely go off by themselves some no problem. They hop around Disney without any issues.

Check out the website......

You can learn the layout of the parks and so much more.......decide where you want to start and work from there.......you really don't need a touring plan at Universal. But, it'll give you an idea of where everything is that your groups will want to do.

You also have EE with staying at CBay, that's a decent advantage......
