Can anyone help me with UK children sizes?

We have been looking at very nice Elizabeth Swann costume from Woolworths online and ebay. I have no clue how your sizes run. We are thinking we would need a 7-11 in UK. My DD6 wears a 7-8 US. We would like it to be a little big so it still fits next summer when we cruise. If anyone can help that would be great. Also does anyone know if Woolworths ships to the US?

Apparently according to woolworths.co.uk they only ship to UK addresses. Also size 7 -11 does seem a rather wide age-range. I haven't come across that over here. Usually I thought 7-8, 9-10 etc.

Hi there,

Most costumes in the UK have a wide age range in order to get the most wear out of them, my children are aged 6 & 8 and both fit in the costume ranges of 7-10 years.

My daughter is 8 and my son is 6 but he is taller than her so I always buy clothes for the height and not the age, the sizes therefore are roughly:

UK age 5-6 is up to height 116cms
UK age 6-7 is up to height 122cms
UK age 7-8 is up to height 127cms

I wish they did this dress in adult sizes, I'm looking everywhere for an Elizabeth Swann style dress for MNSSHP!
