Hi! I want to purchase a DVD of my grandmother's favorite movie of all time. I just can't remember the name of it!

I don't know much but here's what I know:

The father in the movie is an efficiency expert. He teaches his young child (ren?) how to take a shower in the most efficient manner.

Some thoughts I have:
>Please don't feed the daisies
>Some thing with the word 'DOZEN' in the title.

I really just don't even have a clue.

Anyone out there able to help?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Del

Cheaper by the Dozen??

Could it be one of the Mr. Belvedere films? Was Clifton Webb in this?

i just checked on blockbuster.com and the movie your thinking of is Cheaper by the Dozen. :teeth:

Please don't EAT the daisies? I believe that starred Doris Day and someone else, maybe Brian Keith? I think it was a family who had 4 boys, and two were twins. They also had this really great dog.

Thank you! Now I have to find it on DVD!

Thanks so much -- I just knew someone here could help me!

There's a sequel too, Belles on their Toes, and they're both based on books written by members of the actual family.

I just wanted to say it is nice to see you again, Delaney. Please stop by now and then, more often though.

Definitely Cheaper By The Dozen which is based on the true story of a family who lived in NJ. Sequel was Belles on Their Toes.

Other "similar" large Family movies include "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" (Doris Day & David Niven move from the city to the country), With 6 You Get Eggroll (Doris Day marries Brian Keith to get a blended family of 6) and the classic Yours Mine & Ours (Lucille Ball & Henry Fonda marry and have 18 children. Then they have one of their own! Again, based on a true story!)
