We are going to Disney March 26-31, 5 nights. It will be me and my son, who is 11. We are looking at 5 day park hopper tickets, want to stay at Pop Century and have the dining plan. My AAA agent gave me a figure of 1492.00 which includes the insurance. Is this a decent deal? I am stressing over whether I should do this! Is is possible another AAA agent could give me a better deal?

Sounds fairly reasonable to me. The Dining plan alone is $38.00 X 2 = 76.00X5=$380.00, then the park tickets are around $600.00. and POP around that time is probably $100.00+ per night, add that all together, you're just about right on the money @ $1480.00. You'll probably not find much cheaper. Have fun!

I think the AAA rate will be the AAA rate no matter which AAA office you call. You may, however, want to investigate other trip insurance. I have found that AAA's is a little pricier than say, something like Travel Guard, and not as comprehensive. Good luck! You and your son will have a BLAST together!

pop 115*5=560 - aaa discount (15%?)=476+about 11%tax = about 528
2 adult 5 day hoppers 249.21 *2 = 498.42
2 adult 5 day dining = 38*2*5 = 380
total is 1406 and this didnt include tax on dining plan, tax on room was low, and no insurance. so it looks like a good deal.

Also dont forget to ask your AAA agent about any other fees that may come up after you book the trip. We were given a quote and then afterwards were told there was a 15 mailing fee for our documents etc. I dont know if I would have felt if I had known from the beginning but I definitely think any standard fees they charge should be included in the initial quote not brought up after you say you are happy with the quote.(btw I wasnt even told about it until after I had paid for it and they were ready to send the documents. they didnt make me pay it when I questioned it. I was told it must have been a slip up because they always inform of the fees.) I have seen in another post that although the rates should be the same some aaa offices charge some fees and at different amounts than other offices.

Thanks! Hopefully, I can swing this. I have to decide by February 9, they are holding the ressie for me. I also have a hold on a AAA room on my own that I have until February 5 to confirm. It all depends on how much $ I can get together by then. I have my income tax, but some of the other funds may not be available in time.
