Can anyone help me out with the title of this movie?

So my google skills are a big pile of fail tonight...


I'm trying to think of the title of this movie. All I can remember is seeing it in the theatre back in 2002 or 2003.

The plot was about innocent people being put to death for crimes they did not commit. A lady planned her own death and videotaped it to prove that the police had arrested and imprisioned someone for her death when in fact in the end it was actually a suicide. If I remember right, she might have been a professor...

Those are all the details that I can remember, I can't even think of who was in it!

Though I don't remember that particular part of the movie it sounds like it might be Minority Report. It is about people being charged with pre-crime because we could look into the future and determine crimes before they were committed.

Not Minority Report, we actually own that one and watch it. I've never heard of the Tale of David Gale.....

I wasn't all that confident in it but thought I would throw it out there. I really don't watch a lot of movies. Glad you found it though, when Google fails the DIS comes to the rescue.

I really like that movie, The Life of David Gale that is... I didn't like Minority Report.

Yep, great movie. Kinda depressing I guess, but I really enjoyed it.
