Can anyone answer my Fastpass/Lights, Motors Action questions?

I am planning on going to the 5:30 show of LMA next month after having a 4:10 "dinner" at mama's for the fantasmic package - my question is this, do I really need to get us FPs for the show? I would really prefer to get a FP for rock n roller for after the show instead.

also, again assuming a 5:30 show - how far in advance do we need to get there (this is in late sept on a non-EMH weeknight)

thanks for the help!

1) LMA does not always offer FP.

2) If they DO, LMA's FP will NOT stop you from getting another for a different attraction almost IMMEDIATELY, so don't worry about it.
Likewise, if you already have a FP for another MGM attraction, you can still get one for LMA at the same time.

The LMA Fast Pass machine is not tied into the main fastpass. Therefor, you can get a Fastpass to LMA and another attraction at the same time.

Can anyone confirm the show times for September for me?

As a last minute thought i am going to try and get an ADR for the Sci-Fi Dine-in for dinner and would like to plan it around the show time.

Sorry for asking a question in your thread but i have been trying to find this info all day!!!

No one CAN "confirm" the showtimes for September.

They don't publish them that far in advance.
Go to the following site and check for THIS WEEK'S schedule, if you'd like.

It may be the same in Sept., but it might not.

The following site posts the stage shows, in-park shows and their times for the current week.
They will be "similar" for other times as well.
Near the top of the page, click on the colored links for the various parks and their show times.

Be sure to check back as your actual dates of your trip gets closer.

thanks for the scoop I dind't know there were "unlinked" FP machines at WDW like at DL - however, I guess I still have the question of is one even needed?

The point is, nobody will KNOW the answer to that until that actual DAY.

If the CM's for LMA think there is a need for FP, they will open the distribution machines in front of the attraction.
If its open... TAKE one (for each guest) as it will not MATTER as to whether you can get another FP for another attraction.

Its the safest, easiest thing you can get... a FP with ZERO complications.

We were just there a couple weeks ago. What exactly does a FP for this attraction do for you??? They were offering them but we just couldn't quite figure it out. It's a show - do they save a specific section so that you can show up at the last minute? Is it like the Fantasmic Package or a CP Dinner Package? We are going back at Christmas and I know the crowds will be 10 fold of what we just experienced. I'd love to understand better what a FP for this show does for you! Thanks!

WE were there at a very crowded time of year, and they were not needed. We arrived pretty close to the start of the show, too. We couldn't get an ADR for lunch any where in the park, but we got into the show just fine. Maybe Christmas week they would help you get seating, but the stadium is pretty big, and the viewing is pretty good from everywhere. Sometimes the higher sees actually have a better perspective. We've never done FP for this attraction though. (September is not a peak crowd time!)

folks, this is my question, only better put by others - what's the point of FP on this?

With A FP, you are allowed to enter EARLIER than those without a FP.
So, if the theater fills up (and it can often do that) you'll be assured of a seat.

But again, this works like the "Dining Plan" for Fantasmic! - You MUST still arrive EARLY, or you may not get a seat if the theater fills before you get there, FP or not.
(Dining Plan seats for Fantasmic! are not "held open" much longer than 20-30 minutes before showtime, either.)

You say late September - just making sure you know LMA will be closed for refurbishment September 14 through September 19.

When I was there in June, they were not offering fastpass.

It simply changes all the time (FP distribution or no FP distribution) as far as I can tell, from one day to the next or sometimes even within the same day.

One good thing about that attraction, as with most at Disney, virtually all the seats are good.
