Can any one identify this site?

I wish it was a real site, thats the one I would request! We fell in love with the campground back in the 80's when it was still wooded. I pulled some of my old pictures and our site was just about that wooded. Imagine our surprise when we came back two years ago and they were clearing out everything.

That is a real FW campsite. If you look at the large pic on the website you can see where the green carpet ends heading back toward the grill the 4x4 that border the sand pad. They have just covered the pad with pine needles to make it look larger ad more inviting . If you look at the front of the RV at ground level you can see the concrete drive and if you look up at windshield height you can see the sand pad of the site next to it. But I do agree that Disney is shameless in its ads. The last vacation DVD that we got showed an RV driving down the dirt road by the settlement TP. with people on bikes and walking. To look at the DVD you would not think there any paved roads or sidewalks in FW. They show the campfire program as maybe 10 guest sitting around a real ground campfire sitting on logs with Chip and Dale and a CM picking and a grinning. On one of the older DVDs they had a photo gallery with shots of the campsites. In one of the shots they had a camper set up with a tent behind and the lake in the background. They also had a fire in the grill with flames 3 to 4 feet high. If the only thing I knew about the fort was what Disney showed me I would be very surprised when I finally got to FW.

While we are looking at this fantasy information that WDW is posting on its website, be sure to read some of the exaggerated statements that they make about what to expect at Ft. Wilderness.

For example, this:

So, privacy is one of the major features of the campground?

Really?

Like in the poorly photo-shopped photo?

Well, if privacy is so important, why didn't somebody tell the imagineer who designed this site, which is brand new, and just opened not more than a month ago?:

If I had never been to Ft. Wilderness before, and was assigned this site, after having seen the fake photo on the website, and being told how much privacy I would enjoy at my site, I might be just a little disappointed.

TCD

oH LORD please oh please do not let us get this site. :(
Personally I think they should keep that site saved for anyone just "walking up" and wanting a reservation. Then they would just be happy they got a site- otherwise I think anyone would be disappointed with that. gosh
