Can any DVC'r secure Holiday Ressies?

We go to WDW every year, Staying at BWV each time, and loving every minute of it.
We have purchased points the last 6 years from DVC'rs with fabulous results each time.
We are wondering though, how difficult are holiday reservation dates to get...is it based on use year or availability or something else.
???One of the reasons we have not purchased yet is that when we have needed special dates, (Christmas, New Years, etc...)although sometimes expensive, were almost always available with persistant board checking, for rental.???
If we had to accept off-season non-holiday dates ...
we would avoid crowds...but unfotunatly with 3 kids, 3 schools, 2 jobs, 16 teachers to pick up homework from, and a fantastic rowdy grandma that sets the pace...sometimes thats the only time we can all be there.

Anyone can make holiday ressies. The key is to reserve as early as you can. Most will make their ressies for a popular time at 11 months out. The use year means nothing to when you can make the ressie. Only the check out date does.

Honestly you sound like a perfect candidate for DVC. As dianeschlicht has mentioned, anyone can make reservations 11 months prior to your departure date of your vacation at your home resort. This would be the DVC resort that you buy points into. At 7 months prior to your check out date, anyone can make reservations at any of the DVC resorts regardless of which one you own points at.
