Can an adult purchase a child's meal to get Mickey waffles?

Was going to run over to Pepper Market (which might be quite a run depending on our room assignment!) and get Mickey waffles for our whole party as a morning surprise on the first day, but I only see them on the kids' menu. Would I be allowed to purchase kids' meals without the kids with me? Would I be able to get one for myself, or other adults in the party?

TIA

Good question! I don't know anything about Pepper Market, but here is what I do know:

1. I have ordered kids meals many, many times at CS restaurants. Now, I have never done this on the DDP, but since you didn't mention the dining plan I'm not sure if that is an issue. I have never been told that I cannot order off the kids menu at a CS restaurant. I have never tried at a TS restaurant, though.

2. If you cannot get Mickey waffles at Pepper Market, I know that adults are served Mickey waffles with the skillet breakfast at Whispering Canyon in the Wilderness Lodge. My husband has had this dish; it is a LOT of food, but the waffle is Mickey shaped.

i saw a thread at slick deals that indicated that Disney allows "kids of all ages" to order the children's meals. i think this is a GREAT idea as the portions are much more in line with what is normal. the thread had an attachment of an excel spreadsheet that showed various places that had kids meals and he / she was eating on 10 a day I think ? sorry I can't recall specifics. i think it was a great idea to eat a bit more healthy and to save a few dollars. i don't think i could eat a kid meal every meal , but , the option is great to have.

I haven't there but have done it at WDW because at times that is all the food I need or what I want. You shouldn't have any problems.

Excellent, thanks all!

We do have the dining plan, but I'd be paying for the breakfast out of pocket, so I didn't mention it so not as to confuse the issue.

Mickey waffles, here we come!

I order kids meals at cs all the time. Only place I had a problem was yak & yeti cs, the lady gave me hard time-asked me like 4x if this was for a kid. I can't blame her too much it was like 120 degrees out!

I like the Mickey waffles, so I order the kids breakfast all the time. :thumbsup2

I order the kid's meal all the time for breakfast. The adult meal is just too much food! No one ever says anything. I wouldn't do it at a table service, but for counter service, it has never been a problem.

We were staying at SSR last week and they had adult Mickey waffles that weren't on the original menu...

I have bought the Pepper Market Mickey waffle meal kids meal for myself, although that was several years ago.

Sure you can!! If you are buying the Mickey waffles and taking them back to your room how are they going to know how many kids you have to feed. Especially since you paying out of pocket.

Aren't the adult waffles Mickey shaped, too? At OKW (Olivia's), waffles aren't even on the adult menu, but pancakes are, and you can request a waffle instead of the pancakes. It is a large single Mickey waffle, not the small kids' waffles.

Well, if the adult waffles are Mickey shaped, that's great - I've only had the Mickey waffles at buffets, where they are all the small but thick Belgian type. :confused3 I guess I'll see what shape they are when I get there!

Still, even if I were only buying for the kids, that would be one person picking up 5 kids meals, so I'm glad I don't need to drag the kids along as "proof" :rotfl:

Basically, I need something to do while the rest of my family slowly drags themselves out of bed and I've been up and showered since 4... :hyper:

Thanks again all!

I don't know about CSR, but at POR and POFQ the Mickey waffles are full-sized for the adult meal.

We just came back from POR and the kids meal came with 2 small mickey waffles and the adults meal was one big mickey waffle, not sure if thats the same everywhere

Last time at the PM (Dec. 08) I noticed that while the Mickey waffles were in the kid's section, there was also a listing for an adult under the pricing. A few dollars more, but I would assume it's for an adult sized portion. They've re-done the PM menu since then, don't know if this is still the same.

I love the Mickey shaped waffles and it's a must for our breakfast at POP. While we are on DDP, we usually get a adult size meal (combo or POP waffle) for DBf since he needs more food and use 1 CS credit, then we'll pay for my Mickey waffle OOP. Never had a problem with that in my past 3 stays at POP.

I'm posting these pics to get every hungry...
