Can Almond Milk Be Frozen??

Our store has a good price on almond milk this week, and I have several coupons to go along with the sale. I would like to put a couple of gallons in the freezer and I would think it would freeze fine, but would love to hear from anyone who has tried it.

Yes, it will freeze fine. You need to remove some from the container to make room for expansion when it freezes, or you'll end up with a mess. Removing about a 1.5-2 cups should be enough.

I have frozen it but there was a fair amount of separation that made it less appealing. I used the thawed milk in a baked item with good success, though. In contrast, I freeze skim milk frequently and though it separates a bit when thawing, it seems to stir back together better.

I think I will take a small amount and freeze it and check the consistency once it thaws. I use it for drinking only, so if it's funky at all, I know I won't like it. I too freeze skim milk all the time and have no problem drinking that. Thanks for your input.

I get the almond milk/coconut milk combination (Blue Diamond) and froze that..... it froze just fine and thawed fine. I just shook it up and it was good to go.

I have frozen it as well and it rates just the same when I defrost it.
