Can all AP holders make FP+ reservations?

We are a group of 6, all AP holders. All of our AP's are linked on MDX. 4 of us have stayed on site and have active MB's. 2 do not (but do have the RFID AP cards).

The 2 of us without the active MB's can't make FP+ reservations on MDX (website or app). It says that those 2 people "are not eligible" because they are "not participating in MyMagic+."

Is this an MDX problem, or is it simply that not all AP holders can make those advance FP+ reservations yet?

Thanks!

So far, only those who have stayed onsite. See the green link in my signature for more info.

If I were you I'd make the FP+ for those that you can (the 4) and then when you arrive at the parks (or earlier if something changes before your trip) - try to "copy" the FP+ over to the other 2. That is of course assuming everyone wants to ride things together.

I hit my 60 day mark last week. I was only able to make FP+ for the days that I was booked at a resort. The day after check out said "you are not eligible to make FP+ for this date". I think they "closed" the previous loophole where you could make them if you had previously stayed on site.

Things are tightening up. Do you have an AP or regular ticket?

I'm an AP holder as well. After I stayed on site once, I was able to book my FP plus online. For instance, we are going in a week and staying offsite. I've booked my FP+ for the week already despite staying offisite since I've already stayed onsite once with the magic bands and had them activated.

BTW, I did like the magic bands. The FP+ system needs tweaking IMO and the MDE app needs to be sped up significantly but I still like the magic band concept and use. I was part of the pilot with Pop century and really enjoyed it.

The "loophole" only ever applied to AP holders, and it sounds like it's not a loophole at all, rather it's by design. I just checked the site, and I can still book FP+ through April 10.

I never read the throwaway room thread, but I thought the idea was if you purchased a room for one night you could still book FP+ days in advance for the length of your ticket. IF that was the case (and I never really paid that much attention), that loophole would be closed.

I don't think that is what the PP was referring to. AP holders who have actually stayed onsite (not in a throwaway room) now have magic bands with their AP's attached. They can now book FP+ for any day of the year whether they are staying onsite or offsite. This is the current situation and I think it's premature to call it a "loophole" as no one really knows what the last iteration of FP+ will be. My guess is this will be standard practice for AP holders, otherwise what is the point of having an AP?

To the OP, your best option is to book FP+ for those who are currently eligible and then copy those FP+ to the 2 non-eligible guests once you get to the resort.

I guess I don't know what the definition of "throwaway room" is then. All I can say is I booked a 1-night stay last month and can book FP+ for a rolling 60 day period. Nothing has changed for me as an AP holder.

I don't know what the definition is either! - are they referring to making a room reservation, getting a magic band and then canceling the reservation? I don't know!

In my experience, as long as you make the reservation and check in for the stay (whether it's for 1 night or longer), the AP's work for any day on a 60-day rolling period for the length of the AP.

I was asking about the non AP loophole.
