Can adults order from KIDS menu???

I am not talking about the expense here! I am a completely bland eater and honestly, probably a very boring eater!!! I'd prefer a Happy Meal over Red Lobster any day!!!

So, looking at the menus, I see a lot of places that have NOTHING that I would touch. I eat like a kid. Don't like my food to touch each other!

Is there a problem with an adult ordering from the kid's menu? They could even charge me more if that was the case, I just want to make sure I can eat at a certain restaurant! Thanks!

I have never had a problem with the counter restaurants, but have not tried ordering from the children's menus at a sit down restaurant.

I am the same way and I have ordered from the kids menu many times from restaurants. You should have no problems.

I'm the same way. If it doesn't sound like plain old American food, it usually doesn't appeal to me in the least. I e-mailed Disney to ask if adults could order off the Kids menus. The reply really danced around the subject, but basically they told me that Disney considers a person the age of 12 an adult and they would expect that someone of that age would eat food on the adult menus. They also said that "specific dietary requirements" need to be phoned in ahead. I don't really call picky eating a "specific dietary requirement", but I guess if you call ahead and tell them you'll be wanting a kids meal - then you've followed their rules.

I am the same way. I like the smaller portions. I usually do this at the counter serve places. DH and I areplanning to share a lot more this year as we are always wasting a lot of food or overeating.

All of Disney's table service restaurants are nicely flexible. You probably can't actually ask for the kid's meal itself, but you most certainly can say that something on it looks interesting, and ask if they make it in adult portions.

Alternatively, if a restaurant has something that sounds vaguely interesting, but has been way too played-with, you can ask them to make it differently. I've never yet had a restaurant have a problem with that.

Disney can be a hard place to eat if you aren't into the California cuisine they've so heartily embraced. (And I am so very NOT.) For nice, normal food try Tusker House's roasted chicken at AK (also available at the Poly's Kona Cafe), Columbia Harbor House's fish or chicken strips at MK (a step above Disney's usual fast food), and Canada's Le Cellier at Epcot (sorry, but the food at The Land has completely changed, so they're off my good list). As you may notice, I have yet to find anything really worth while at MGM, lol.

I bet if you explained to wait staff jusrt as you explained to us here, they would be very accomodating.
