If I reserve a DVC 2 bedroom using a free dining promo and have 6 guests when I make the reservation, can I still add 2 more guests later and get free dining for them? Thanks!
I did a live chat with Disney on the disneyworld.com site. The CM said that there is no guarantee that I could add guests later, because the amount of promos is limited.? She said it is much easier to take them off later than to add them later, so I should put everyone on when the promo is booked. It does seem odd, if I already have say, a 2 bedroom at OKW reserved for 6 people, why can't I add 2 more later? It's the same room and still within capacity.

I booked free dining a couple of years ago and added two additional people to the same room months later. It wasn't a problem at all. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to do it.

Thanks, Sarah. I really don't understand why it would be an issue, as I'm not trying to add an additional room with the free dining promo. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't an issue for you!

Sarah said she did this several years ago. Disney has changed their policy. Regardless of how many can fit in the room, your "free dining promo" was in place for a set period of time. You adding two more people, you are "basically" asking Disney for a $150+ discount per night
Alright, I guess I'd rather be safe than sorry. I know we have 6 people coming, I'm just not sure if 2 of my adult children will be coming (probably not). But I'd hate to lose the opportunity for their free dining if they do come, so I guess I should provide 8 names when I reserve (crossing my fingers for free dining for this summer).

But technically, you can alter reservations under a promotion that has expired if there's "availability." Guest services has to do it, but you can do it. People reported being able to do this with FD just this year -- and that was changing resorts or adding rooms, not just adding people. Like I said, I don't see why this wouldn't be an option, but I could be wrong.
OP, I guess if you want to ever on the side of safety, book for everyone who might come!
Book or modify now for the right potential guests. Since your getting the dining plan free for all villa/room occupants, then ultimately not coming will provide you with extra credits.
