Hi I am adding on 100 pts at VWL and the contract is loaded with 100 pts now and 100 pts coming this December!:dance3: I already have an existing reservation at VWL for next March using points I own at BCV and BWV. When I get title to the VWL points can I use them to replace the points I used up at BCV if I do so immediately upon getting the points? I am hoping to free up my BCV points to use at 11 month window for a separate ressie there. I thought I read something on here that I could, but then thought I read something about it depending upon the CM? Does anyone know or has anyone done this before?

You can reallocate points. You should be okay...as long as you didn't borrow and don't miss any banking windows.

I recently reallocated points for a May ressie. It was simple and painless.

Thanks. That is great news. No the points being used for a March 2010 trip are coming from BCV and BWV UY march 2010 trip. So no borrowing or banking complications! Do I just call member services as soon as my new points are in the system? And is there a time limit on how long I have to make the reallocation?

Since the reservation was made inside 7 months you should be able to reallocate the new points if all are in the same contract. If this is an add-on purchased directly thru DVC you will be in the system as soon as you have paid your deposit.

If it is a resale purchase where it will be added to your master contract you might be OK. If it's a resale purchase under a separate member number they will need to cancel the reservation and rebook using the new points - so you should check to see if there is already a waitlist or you could lose the original reservation.

Good luck! :)

Good point. I assumed it was the same member number.(we all know about assuming) All of my contracts are under the same number, so it was quite simple for me.
