Can AAA take over a bounceback reservation?

Just realized that we are driving this time around and we could take advantage of the new privs AAA has (like special viewing areas) and the diamond lot.

Our reservation is a bounceback offer, and I remember reading that a TA could take over a reservation.

For us, a cancel/rebook is not an option as we currently have free Basic Dining at a value, when the new offer is only quick service dining...

Any hints on this? Is it still doable?

As long as your final payment isn't posted yet, a TA can take over the reservation. Once a deposit is on it, the TA must fax someting in writing signed by the client, but most TA's who book a lot of Disney have a form letter for this. It's basically, name, travel dates, resort, and res number, and the lead guest signature allowing Disney to transfer ownership of the reservation to the agency. It sometimes takes 24 to 48 hours for Disney to make the switch though.

If you book another bounceback while at Disney, you can also ask that the agency on your existing reservation be listed as the agency on the new one you are making. Some CM's will do that, others won't, since the confirmation email will now go to the agency instead of to you. But you can always pass the new BB reservation to your TA when you return.

Just make sure the TA you work with at AAA knows the system and doesn't try to cancel & rebook what you have! Some TA's are more up on Disney proceedures than others.

Thanks. I sent her an email. We used her in 2008 and she was great. She applied the new GA offer at 6am the day the offer came out even though she was starting her vacation (before WTC opened). She works in the regional AAA center (ie a Disney specialist), not on a local office.

We only paid the deposit at this point - balance is not due for another couple of months.
