Can a FP be scheduled at park closing?

Specifically, if a park is scheduled to close at 9:00, would I be able to book a FP at that same time?

I don't think so. Usually the last scheduled FP window is for 30 minutes prior to closing. So if park is closing at 10, the last FP window allowable would be 9:30 - 10.

No. like gator said if it closes at 9 then the last hourly fast pass window would be 8-9pm

Actually I think you're both off.

As far as I can tell the last window ENDS 1/2 hour before the park closes.

IE. If the park closes at 10, the last window is 8:30 to 9:30. This leaves them 1/2 an hour before closing to clear out the last of the fastpass queue (and get a head start on clearing out the last of the regular queue without last minute fastpass admissions slowing it down).

For instance, I booked fastpasses for the short window between 4pm and 7pm before my not so scary and very merry tickets this year. The park closed at 7 before both parties, and the latest fast pass I could book both days was the 5:30 to 6:30 window. (Had to book 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30 & 5:30-6:30 on both occasions.)

Makes complete sense. Trying to get ready for 180-day reservation window tomorrow morning and fine tuning the plan I put together several weeks ago. Have to take everything into account....including the FP times. Thanks!

I was there last week and our last night we were at AK, park closed at 7, I was able to book fast passes up to a 6:30 start time, possibly later but the app stopped letting me book anything by around 6:45.

AFAIK, while this is true for the party days, I don't think that this applies for all days. With the parties, both party guests and day guests can book FP+'s, and attractions remain open during the parties after the FP+ window ends. My understanding is that the FP+ windows close early enough so that non-party guests are entering the queue, completing their rides, and exiting the park as soon as possible without lingering for the party.

On a recent trip, at a park that without a party, we had FP+ windows that began less than an hour before park close, and ended at park close. For example, 9:15 PM - 10:00 PM.
