can a DVC renter add on additonal rented pts to upgrade

I have rented points from a DVC member for a studio at BLT for our family of four. My Brother-in-law's family may now want to go at the same time as us. If they do go it would be nice to stay together. ~ Is there any way to upgrade our studio to a 2 Bedroom by renting addtional points from another DVC owner? The owner I went through has no more pts. available and wasn't sure if this was possible.

Unfortunately, no. They are separate reservations so the studio would have to be cancelled and a new 2 bedroom booked.

The only thing you can do would be to rent a 1 bedroom from someone else and just ask that it noted on each of the reservations that these be close to each other as you are traveling together.

You might get lucky and at least be on the same floor and if you got really really lucky, you might be next to each other.

That is what will try to do then if they decide to go and stay at the same place as us. Maybe we will get lucky.
It's definitely more economical for us since we are only four and can stay in a studio they will have 5 to 6 which means they need a one or two bedroom for just their family. They never rented DVC either so they may just go the traditional route.
