Can a discount code cost more than a DC discount

I have ressies with a Disney Club discount for the ASMo for $848.25 including taxes for 9 nights for July. I tried calling tonight with the new discount code CZF . The lady I talked to quoted me a price of 742.08 for the same amount of time but only at the Music or Sports resorts. Dummy me should have taken this then but I didn't because I wanted to make sure the rest of my party wanted to change resorts.

Well, I find out they would change hotels to save the $106.00. I call back and get a different CM on the phone and she quotes me $1116.96 for the exact same ressies. This is almost $269.00 more. Is it possible for a ressie to change this much with codes in 30 minutes time?

Something doesn't seem right about this. All things being the same I wouldn't think there would be a difference. I've used codes before and have inquired on different occassions and the prices were always the same. Call back again and see what they tell you.

The second CM may have given you the package rate. Call back for the room only rate.

I called again today and talked to 2 different CMs. It took about 45 minutes for the CM to get me the discount but she did and it saved me $103.00 per room. She did say she was sorry it took so long because they now have to put every little thing in the computer system. I didn't mind because I know she was trying to do her best to help me. I guess the moral of this story is keep trying.
