Can a discount be applied after booking?

If you book a vacation package when there are no deals on, and then a few months later a deal comes up for 35% off like they had earlier this year, can you receive that discount?

You should be able to. A cast member said I could when I asked about adding one to my trip later this year. They told me to go under My Plans at My Disney Experience and there is an option to change reservation. Once you click on that the top heading should say Vacation Offer with the option to change. If you click on that it searches for offers that would apply. I haven’t gotten any farther than that since there aren’t any offers that are available for later in the year.

Absolutely - we had booked our last Sept trip package at rack rate and when discounts came out ~2 weeks before our arrival date I just called and had them apply the offer and they refunded the cost difference to my credit card.

Yes.

BUT...

There has to be a discounted room available at your selected resort for your exact dates. If there isn't one, then you won't get a discount or you will need to switch resorts and/or dates to one where a discounted room is available.
