Can 13 year old order off children's menu?

My DD is a VERY :sad2: picky eater. She has been checking out the menus online and it looks like at most of the restaurants she can find something she will eat on the children's menu. Can she order off the children's menu? or do they have items available for adults that are not necessarily on the regular menu (like grilled chicken or pasta)?

Thanks

I'm not sure if it is true at every spot but I have ordered off the kid's menu myself and I am an over 30 kid at heart.

Im sure my DS13 will be ordering off the children's menu a few times.

My husband has been known to order off the children's menu. As he puts it, he's not into fancy, yuppie food.

I ordered off the kids menu at Brown Derby during our trip in 11/03 and I was 28 at the time. I'm a picky eater too, and I don't care for most fancy food (and I'm not willing to pay Disney prices for a steak).

My DS15 (very picky!) orders off the children's menu often, and his somewhat picky mother :rolleyes1 has been known to order of the children's menu too! We've never had any problem at any of the WDW restaurants where we've done this. Of course, at buffets and all-you-can-eat places, you have to pay the adult price regardless.

My very picky 16 year old sister lives on chicken fingers while we're in WDW. She always asks if it's ok before she orders but we've never eaten at a resturant that said no so your DD should be fine.

That is funny cause my mom said (she is 66) she would love to go to Mexico for dinner since we all love it, but never does since she does not like the food but would love to order the food off the kids menu.

My girls ended up ordering some of the fun kids 'drinks' while we were there - from Hollywood Brown Derby and LeCellier. A couple of the CMs offered them a look at the kids menus when they were struggling to decide - so it seems like it must be ok. Like someone else said, at buffets you'll pay for an adult regardless of what they eat. Too bad. Saw some parents at Cape May pay for two teen boys to eat only pizza! Can you imagine paying $49.98 for cheese pizza and coke? We couldn't justify the buffets if our kids were too picky and paying an adult price. It would kill us! : :sad2:

Thanks everyone. DD just read your replies and feels much better about ordering chicken fingers and pasta at most restaurants.

Thanks again

Just came back last night and my DD is also 13 and she orders off the kids menu, she also a picky eater

Our DD (14) is also a picky eater. Well that and she likes to eat a small dinner and then order a dessert. The only time we ever had a problem is in China. They said she could not order off of the children's menu. It was funny because at the time she was only 11 and they did not believe us!!! :confused3

I do know that at the Swan and Dolphin restaurants they will not let her order off of the children's menu. We stay there, however, generally do not eat at the restaurants because DD would not eat the food. I wish this was not the case as we really enjoy Palio and have wanted to try the Blue Zoo.

Has anyone had the experience of a teenager ordering from the Children's Menu from CG or FF? These are two restaurants we will be dining at in June.
