Can 11 year old order kids meals at TS restaurant (non DDP?)

We opted not to do DDP because we have newly-turned 11 year old twin girls who no way would eat $38 in adult entrees each day. They are picky eaters, and would prefer a kid meal almost always. Will they still be able to order from the kids meal if we are eating at a TS restaurant? I understand at the buffets they probably won't let them do this, but what about other places? Will they be able to split adult entrees if not? I'd like to make ADR and want to have a general idea of what places would be good for them. Thanks.

They'll be no problem with ordering off the kids menu, even adults do. They still offer kids menus to kids that are obviously too old (that includes my DS17, who finds this quite offending:)). I think they just make the age "restrictions" so young because there a lot of ten-year-olds who want to order off the adult menu and are on the DP (this quite was a problem when we were at Atlantis, we had to go throguh a lot of trouble to get the adult dining plan for my DD13, then nine). On our trip last Feb they only charged us the kid buffet breakfast prices for my DD13 (then 12), she's very tall for her age, but I guess they noticed she didn't eat much. They didn't even charge us at all for my DD3 (then 2). Overall, disney tends to be very lenient with ages.

Don't blame you and my 10 year old will be ordering off of the kids menu when we are there in October.

In December we did DDP and paid OOP for DS10 to order kids meals. Then we just used the rest of his TS credits for the rest of us (except at buffets, he used his TS there) We actually used the DDE card on his kids meals :) So it works however you want to do it :goodvibes

On a trip a few years ago, my BIL ordered off the kids menu :confused3

There is no problem with ordering off the kids menu - both my 10 year old and 13 year old did last summer (they are both very picky eaters), however, if you do a buffet or fixed price meal (such as Garden Grill) they will be charged the "adult" price regardless of what they eat. We do fewer buffets because we just cannot justify the cost.

Came here to ask this same question. Thanks for all the information so far.

First trip with 10yo twins who prefer the food on the kids menus and don't eat much. We will not be on the DDP.

What about LTT dinner?

What about LTT dinner?

LTT Dinner is an "all you can eat" price fixed meal, so kids 10 & up will be charged as an adult. I can say, that my DS did order/eat the "kids" food at GG, but he was charged as an adult.
