Thank you, Tracy!

4:00 pm-- oh, great! I feel like I am getting sick. I've had the chills all day and now I am pretty sure I have a fever. Not sure where this is coming from. I hope it's nothing, especially since I am swamped at work this week. I do not have time to be sick!

Hi Cam,

Sorry I have been MIA again, life keeps getting in the way!!! Your food looks good and I am glad that you are not beating yourself up over the treat you had. We all need those every once in a while.

I am glad that your DD was able to make it home. Sounds like you two had a good time!!!

Keep up the good work!

Have a great day :)

As you can tell I've been MIA again! Glad your DD made it home. Your food could have been much worse, and you're right back at it, so no harm, no foul, right???

Hope you have an awesome week!

Thank you, Jamie & Tracy & Julie, for your support. As you can see, I hardly have time these days to do anything more than log my food and exercise. I am so sorry to have been neglecting my WISH friends' journals. I am hoping to get caught up by the end of this weekend.

15 DAYS IN A ROW OF WW CORE & 100 PUSH UPS & CRUNCHES

I am so frustrated that the scale is up a pound today after I hit an all-time low yesterday morning. I only ate 1332 calories yesterday and burned almost 600 calories just on the treadmill and the bike, without counting the 100 pushups and 100 crunches. I had hoped for a significant loss at WW weigh in tonight, but I'll be lucky to be the same as last week. Not sure if I am more :confused3 or  or :sad1: I have to keep telling myself that it is important to maintain the healthy lifestyle, even if I am not losing on the scale.

We'll welcome you with open arms to our Scale Bashing Party, Cam!! With all the exercise you're getting you have to be building muscle(at least that's what I keep telling myself!)

Don't worry about missing journals, we know you're here, on track & care. I think we're all here in spirit thinking about each other even when we aren't online.

Let us know about WI. Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised!

Thank you so much, Julie!

Alright, as detailed in yesterday's journal entry, last night did not go well. :) Here is what happened . . .

Last night, I went to WW WI, knowing what the scale yesterday morning showed and that my WW WI's are almost always exactly the same, and yet wanting the 80 oz water I drank during the day and all the light eating to have made a significant difference.

In fact, I was down 1.8 from last week and enough to make Gerri (my leader) go "great job!!!" What she forgot is that back on 3/20/07, I was at .6 pounds lower than last night and I have not gotten back there since.

I was so disappointed. I worked so hard this week. I have been tracking every bite and working out and just, generally, doing what I should be doing.

Here are my calorie counts from the past week:
1282, 1156, 1572, 1476, 1251, 1332 and 2205.

Okay, so, what did I do then? I left the meeting and called Howard and talked him into meeting me for chinese buffet. You can see just how disciplined I was, going over my daily calorie limit by 50%. I probably even ate more calories than that, but I did try to journal everything in sparkpeople, estimate portion sizes, etc., and it is probably close to accurate. I did it because I was angry and frustrated, but now I am justifying it by saying everyone is entitled to go a little crazy once in a while.

Did I mention how frustrated I am? Once again, I am reminded of how my body sits in a 3 pound range forEVER before moving. Maybe last night's very high fat intake will throw my body into shock and it will give up some of these pounds.

Anyway, I did my 100 crunches and push-ups last night before bed and again this morning before I showered, so that I won't have to do them tonight. But I do intend to head for the gym. I'm not giving up.

This weekend is going to be so tough and I have no idea what choices I will have, food-wise. Saturday we are attending a Bat Mitzvah and then a luncheon; then we are heading to friends' house until Sunday night when we'll go to the Bat Mitzvah party/dinner. So, food will be completely unpredicatable between Saturday a.m. and Sunday night. I am hoping we will barbecue at our friends' house on Saturday and I can arrange for veggie or turkey burgers and/or low fat hot dogs with no buns. I guess anticipating the problem situations will help me prepare for them.

Today's food plan:
B: coffee w/skim milk; 2 hard boiled eggs
L: garden salad & lean cuisine chicken in peanut sauce
S (pre-gym): apple; fat free cottage cheese (1 cup); 1 cup pineapple
D: 4 oz tilapia; 2 veggie burgers; 1 cup couscous
dessert: 94% FF popcorn; WW chocolate raspberry bar; WW toffee ice cream bar (UGH!

Sparkpeople & Weight Watchers Core Requirements:
Calories: 1617 (recommended 1200-1550)
Water (64 oz): 104 oz by 10pm
Healthy Oils (2 tsp): 2/2
Non-fat dairy (2 svgs): 1.5/2
Fruits & Veggies (5 svgs): 8/5
Multi-vitamin: yes
Crunches/Push-Ups: 100/100 (done in the a.m. for the first time!); add'l 25 crunches in pm

16 DAYS IN A ROW OF 100 CRUNCHES & 100 PUSH-UPS

-------------------
gym time -- treadmill -- 3 minutes warmup at 4.2 (.21 miles); then intervals jog 3 at 4.8/walk 2 at 4.2 for 20 minutes; then all walking at 4.2mph (2.35 miles--12:46 pace)
Overall miles -- 2.56

Oh, Cam, I feel your pain!! It's TERRIBLE to be a slow loser!! We work so hard & sometimes it seems all for naught! Your need for 'feel good NOW' is so ME!!! We CAN do this together, but, honestly, it really is going to take me a lifetime!! Up, Down, Up, Up, Up, Down....it never ends!

Try to let go & have a good weekend!

:grouphug:

Hi Cam
My scale doesnt show that weeks eating until 2 weeks later, maybe your the same! Glad your not giving up.
Or maybe your not eating enough with all the exercise & your body is storing cals??!!?
Just a few thoughts!
I have exactly the same problem - my scale hasnt budged in months :(

I am so glad to know I am not alone. Thank you so much for the encouraging words, Tracey & Julie. :grouphug: No one IRL understands what I am going through. I have literally had people tell me I MUST be eating more than I am admitting to or I'd be dropping pounds like crazy. Makes me want to clock someone over the head. Believe me -- I am scrupulous about writing down everything I eat. I obsess about food. I wake up thinking about it and go to sleep thinking about it. I have learned NOT to put a bite in my mouth without thinking about it. That's not to say I dont' eat it anyway, but I am totally conscious of it.

I leave for my cruise trip in 58 days. I HAVE to lose another 5 pounds AT LEAST!!! It should NOT be a hard thing to do!!! That is 8 weeks away. I should be able to lose at least 12 with how hard I am working. But, 7.4 pounds down from last night's weigh in would be momentous for me. You'd hear me crying and whooping and hollering from New Mexico and England, let me tell you!!!

I've just been catching up on your journal. You are such an inspiration to me. Loved what your doctor had to say. He is seeing the big picture. Healthy vitals and an overall weight loss over a year. Just keep doing what you are doing....it's working for you in the long run! Even if it gets frustrating at times.
Sounds like the Minnie weekend was a great experience. I"m so glad you enjoyed yourself. And that Minnie shirt fitting....that also says it all. I weigh the same as I did before all this exercise. But I'm a size smaller now in clothes. I'de love the scales to reflect this but I'm loving the clothes fitting so well better.

 Cam,

I understand your frustration with the scale. I think we should have a scale bashing party!:cool1: ;)

I am so proud of you for pressing forward and not giving up. You CAN do this, Cam!:cheer2:

Keep on keeping on!:cheer2:

Hi Cam
How ya doing??
Hope your feeling more positive!
Keep up the great work, i'm sure the scale will start to waver soon ;)

Ugh! I have so much catching up to do here, but I should at least mention I fell off the wagon last week and not only did it drag me for a while, but it ran over me and then backed over me too. Did I mention "ugh!"?

Today was good:
1057 calories taken in
420 calories burned at gym. 4.31 miles in 60 minutes (13:55 pace)

I just caught up on your journal for the past couple of weeks. Don't beat yourself up about falling off and being trampled by the wagon:rotfl2: . In the past two weeks alone, you have really had some remarkable milestones. The dr's words are fantastic. Remember those when you are feeling down - You have come such a long way. Even your splurges/treats/digressions are really minor compared to what you would have done in the past. One slice of pizza? That is a big accomplishment. You are training and racing. You are exercising and strength training. 98% of the time you are eating very, very healthy. Even when you stray, it is pretty minor compared to the past, and you pick yourself up and get right back on track. There is a possiblility that you are in fact, not eating enough (sub 1200) at times for all of the exercising you are doing.

Cam, you are a success. You will continue to be a success. We all have bumps in the road on this journey, but you will overcome them and acheive each and every goal you set for yourself.:grouphug:

Hi Cam,

Once again I have been MIA....I am sorry. I got caught up on your journal, and I am glad that you are not going to give up. I know it's hard, but we are all in this together. My scale won't move at all. I would love for it to go up even...not too much just a little. But nope...not movin! We do need to have a scale bashin party.....that would make us all feel better.

Keep your head up, you are doing great. You will make your goal before your cruise, I know you will.

Have a great day :)
