Glad you found out the problem so you can get better for the Minnie. Its been a concern of mine that someone would get sick before our trip. I even started vitamins to boost my immune system and convinced DD to do the same.

I think I am kind of glad the doctor has forbidden me to exercise since I feel so lousy and energy-less. It is supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow, though, and I really want to take my race outfit out for a trial run. Maybe I'll convince DH he needs to go running at the state park, and I'll take a leisurely 1 1/8 mile walk around the cinder track and then sit in the sun and read. Sounds very inviting. I won't even listen to my running mix, so that I won't feel compelled to keep pace. Maybe some Jimmy Buffett.

Ate too much last night but the scale was not "ugly" this morning. :confused3:

haven't eaten anything yet today but I should since i have to take the dreaded antibiotic with food. Guess I'll do that now.
Food plan:
B: apple, coffee w/skim milk; antibiotic & vitamin
L: chicken, corn, kidney beans

Food for the rest of the day is up in the air since we are goign to see my nephew perform as Javert in Les Miz tonight! :yay: I may eat a lean cuisine before we go, but we are likely to go out for a celebratory meal when it is over, too.

At least you are on the mend now you have medication, its hard to do nothing when you have been told!!!

i hope you are feeling better--ive had a lot of sinus/upper resp infections this year and they are killers! PLEASE relax so you can feel better!

I wish i was going to be in wdw when yo uwere but i cant wait to hear about it :)

I am still not feeling 100% but at least I'm not coughing my head off.

Yesterday was a good day, food-wise, and I was at less than 1100 calories for the day, being below my sparkpeople max for the first time in a long time.

I did try to stick to mostly WW core foods, but had a bit of a splurge at lunch with a turkey "sandwich" on a split soft pretzel. I ate my planned lunch for dinner over a green salad with a side of broccoli and that really helped me stay on track.

Food today:
B: banana, vitamin, antibiotic :) , fat free plain yogurt w/unsweetened frozen strawberries & sweet 'n low
L: green salad; packet of tuna in water (90 cals) w/1 TB fat free mayo (10 cals); side of broccoli

As of 2:15 pm, I am at 50 oz of water.

I havent' been to weight watchers since I hit 70.2 pounds 5 weeks ago. In the interim I haven't been very careful with food, so I am expecting to be up a bit, but I am back on track and I am not beating myself up over the food issues or the minimal weight gain.

I am really enjoying the sparkpeople team of DISers/WISHers and I think monitoring my calories there is giving me a much more realistic picture of how much I am taking in and how healthy those calories are or aren't. So, this week's challenge for the sparkteam is to journal every bite and that is what I am going to do. I am determined that next Tuesday's weigh in, my last before the Minnie, will be encouraging rather than depressing. ;)

Are you going to the TOT13K???? I am at about 85% that I will go & take DD. She's off that weekend and I can usually get good airfare (been to FL the last 2 years that weekend!)

Hope the rest of the week goes well and you continue to improve. Go give Howard a big HUG so he can give you one back from me!!:grouphug:
 
OMG, Julie!! Are you serious? Are you going to do the ToT13k race? Am I finally going to get to meet you and give you a HUGE hug in person? That would be so cool! Howard and I will fly in Friday mid-day and will have to leave Sunday early evening, but we are going to pack every single minute in between with FUN!!!! He is taking off that weekend from whatever commitments he has for grad school and is just going to enjoy being away from the school & home bustle. We are staying at POR. Do you know yet where you'd likely stay?

sparkpeople.com is a free website (you have to register but it is free) where you can track your food and your exercise. It helps you develop a healthy plan for nutrition and fitness to meet your weight loss goals. The food tracker is better than any I've ever used. It has really helped me to focus on what types of calories I am taking in.

Check it out, Tracey! I think you'd really enjoy using it, though I am not sure if there is a version in the UK that has more of the foods available to you there.

BTW, I had yorkshire pudding for the first time on Easter day. It was delicious. Not at all what I feared! More like a popover than anything like what we call "pudding"

Food yesterday was right on target and I totalled 1199 calories for the day. Sparkpeople tells me I should be at 1200-1550 to lose at a good rate. The losing hasn't happened, but being in line calorie-wise for 3 days in a row sure feels good.

Life is crazy right now with being sick for a few weeks with bronchitis and the various infections my body was fighting. The cough has subsided and I am allowed to exercise again starting today. I've lost a lot of training time, but hopefully no momentum. I won't get to the gym until Saturday morning because of a special olympics meeting tonight and a charity auction tomorrow night. Fun stuff but it's interfering with my training! ;)

Food plan for today:
B: coffee w/skim milk; 1 cup fat free plain yogurt w/1 cup fresh strawberries
L: green salad; 1 packet tuna in water; 1 serving mini pretzels w/HOT mustard
S: apple & banana (hopefully to hold me until after my meeting in case they have pizza there tonight instead of sandwiches)

I can't believe that a week from tomorrow I'll be in Orlando. I've literally been looking forward to this trip since January. It is going to be such a blast to be away for a WISH weekend. :goodvibes:

Thank you, Tracy! I hope to be at 100% by the time I fly next Friday. I'd be dreading it now with the congestion and sinus and ear pain if I had to fly today. :sad1:

Looks like dinner tonight will be at a pizza & burger place. I am hoping I'll have the willpower to be good.

I've just been reading the TOT13K info again. When DD gets home I'm going to ask again if she thinks she can do it. The 15 min pace may scare her. I know I can make that as the first 8 mile walk I did was under that & I'm hopefully in better shape. If she says yes, I'll register both of us. All I'll lose is the reg. fee if we end up not going at this point.

Hope you have a good workout on Saturday morning. Don't overdo~!!!!! (Gee, I sound like somebody's mother!!:rotfl: )
 
Hi Cam,

I am glad that you are starting to feel better. I agree, flying while sick is no fun at all. I remember one year, DH got bronchitis two weeks before we were suppose to leave for DL. He was fine by the time we left, not me, I had caught his bronchitis and I was the one sick. We flew from Denver to LA and that was the worst flight. So I hope you are 100% by the time you go!!!!
