I'm going to be a campus rep for the upcoming fall season
I'm going to Disney...today. lol
and I was wondering how I would go about getting my campus rep ID. Do I just go to access control and get it? Will I be able to get one since the recruiting season doesn't start until August? I don't know, and the campus rep people never got back to me about it.

You're just starting for the fall season? Then you won't be able to get a rep id until the fall season starts since you actually haven't started your duties as a campus rep yet for the fall season.

But for future reference, if you're going to take a trip to Disney, you have to request your rep badge 2-3 weeks in advance.

I know this is too late, but I figured I'd post for others in case they were in the same situation.

Actually, as long as you are statused as a campus rep, you should have no problem getting your campus rep ID from access control. Just log in to the Hub and view your record card. If your record card says campus rep, then you should be fine.

I was a Spring 09 CP and my program ended June 5. That very same day, I went to Access Control and requested a new ID and walked out with it about five minutes later. Now, the thing about your campus rep ID: It is only valid until 8/31/09. Campus rep IDs expire each August. It's no big deal, you just have to get a new one if you go down again after that date. Also, keep in mind you have to work at least one shift during the calendar year to be eligible for a Main Entrance Pass. Your Campus Rep ID will work regardless, but you won't get a M.E. Pass unless you work one paid shift.

Hope that helps.

Quick clarification: This may be a special case since I *just* finished my CP. If you haven't done your CP in awhile and just go hired on as a campus rep, your mileage may vary. Just telling you my experience and what I've heard from others that have done the same.

I also know it is late, but for all of you other new Campus Reps out there....

I feel like the person above me had a one-off situation...I wouldn't follow his or her advice.

If you are a current CP, you will be statused to a Campus Rep role the Sunday following your College Program's end date.

If you are not a current CP and a new Rep, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get your badge before the season starts. The Campus Rep office may be able to accommodate you, but only if your required paperwork has been submitted and completed (I-9, Background Check, etc). And as Sorahana said, you'll need to submit your request 2-3 weeks in advance. You absolutely cannot just show up at Access Control and request your badge.

Also, you need to make sure that you are arriving in Orlando during the week at an early hour if you want your badge. You may have heard that in the past Reps have been able to pick up their badge at Casting or at their Resorts, but it is my understanding that all Reps must pick up their badge at Access Control now. How do you get to Access Control if you don't have transportation? Easy. Take a cab from the Contemporary or the Lynx bus from the TTC.

These are the official rules according to my recruiter:

"If you are new to the team [for fall 09], you officially transfer to the role on 9/1/09; In the meantime you are more than welcome to use your 2009 Main Entrance Pass with a photo id for admission to our theme parks, provided you still have admits available."

But when you become a rep after being a CP, your hire date remains and you never leave the company, thus you have to be SOME sort of status in the meantime. The question is what is that status?
