Campsite discount for late summer

Maybe this is old news, but I was messing around on the site booking a possible vacation (or a hopeful vacation?) and it discounted the tent/popup sites by $10 a night! I've never seen a discount before so wanted to pass it on. It was for August (?) through October 3.

This is the discount: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/broad-room-only/ It does appear to allow campsites. The similar summer discount offer did not include campsites.

That makes sense because when you think of it in Fort terms. January is normally slow but it's chopped up with the holiday time early, the Marathon weekend, and the long MLK weekend (all higher rate times). Spring rates blast in around Valentines and demand stays up till early June and then slacks a little because that's when people can travel due to school calendars. But once people start back to school in August till the Halloween crowd starts showing up, the late August and September months are among the slowest times at the Fort (judging by the rate structure).

The thought of WDW in August gives me a rash (and a sunburn) just thinking about it but if you can swing a trip then it's a good value.

When I look at the discount I see that it excludes campsites.

On the link I gave above, the description excludes only the villas. But when you click the "View Offer Details" link at the bottom, the description excludes campsites and villas. But when you look at the URL, it shows that these are the details for the"summer-offer-broad-room" discount. The URL for the offer chickp found is "broad-room-only".

Or I could be wrong.

I swear I didn't hallucinate it, but it seems to be gone now. The $59 tent site came up as $48 on the "late summer offer" yesterday, but not today. Bummer, should have booked it.

It is definately good for campsites too. I just applied the "Late Summer" discount to my existing Sept. reservation. At last, they've included the campsites....probably to smooth things over after taking away the AAA discount.

I would love to book a weekend, as I would camp at FW every month, but my DH frowns on it, he likes to mix it up ( and May - Aug is just TOO hot for this Florida girl). We are camping at Fl State parks in Sept and Oct, then back to the Fort in Nov & Dec.

Oh yay! Glad it's for real! It wasn't coming up for me but I will call and make sure when I book.

Now to convince DH that we totally need to spend Labor Day weekend in at the Fort.....

Also, it seems that it has to be five nights or more to get the discount. It says that length of stay requirements may apply but not what they are; I can book five but not four with the discount.

Booked! There's an outside chance DH will have to work, but if not we are going back to the fort, trip 2 in 2015.
