I am staying offsite at my boyfriends timeshare. I thought about renting a camp site for 2 nites to take advantage of the EMH for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, :cool1: has anyone ever done this? I am coming from Wa state and my kids would live to camp for a night or two but there is no way that i can pack enough camping stuff, so i thought that i would just rent the space and take advantage of the EMH and water parade.
Is this just crazy? :confused3

IMO, EMH is not worth paying for a campsite. For the price of the campsite, you could get another whole day at the parks.

I'll also talk about the pink elephant... (Someone is sure to mention it) If someone rents a campsite without staying there, another family can't use the much coveted campsite. Some families can only get to WDW if they camp.

So yes, it can be done and it has been done.

You are definitely opening up a can of worms here, so I need to remind everyone to please keep your answers polite.

It is possible -- but is it ethical? As the previous poster mentioned, there are many families that can only go to Disney if they camp. Campsites are sometimes hard to come by, so if you reserve one for the purpose you stated, you are taking one away from a family that might need it.

And, I agree -- Extra Magic Hours are not worth the extra money. And, you can watch the EWP without having a reservation. Just go to any of the marinas around Bay Lake to watch it. :)

Have you checked the park hours for your visit? Often the parks are open pretty late during the summer anyway. And when you're out late it's hard to drag yourself out of bed for morning EMH!

We found we didn't use EMH and avoided the parks that had them each day. We often heard from CMs that it was slow at whatever park we DID visit.

So let me get this straight - you're willing to spend $39 a night for one extra hour at a park each day and to see the EWP which is free anyway?

Makes me happy to be a Disney stockholder!

:thumbsup2

Well i never said that i had made the res. and if i did it would be up to me to choose how i use it correct? I am glad I could make ya happy to be a stock holder. To let my kids stay at the park a few hrs later yes, I would rent a campsite, to them it would be worth it, and after all it is only 39. I was just asking if it was possible, and if it could be done. But thanks for your input.

No matter what you do you and your kids will have a good time. We are going on our 3rd. trip May 29th-June 7th. We got a room for 2 nights at AS Music for $36.00 a night on Price line. How cool is that??? Then we are in Port Orleans French Qtr. for the rest of our stay. :thumbsup2
