Camping: yay or nay?

DH and I enjoy camping. We ride our motorcycle all over the country, and we pull a small motorcycle trailer behind us that carries all of our camping gear like this:

Last year we went out west and did Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, Devil's Tower etc.

TODAY, we leave for Niagara Falls, with stops in TN, WV, Punxatawney, Pittsburgh and more!

I love our tent! It's huge! You can stand straight up in it, and it has room for our raised King air mattress and all of our stuff. KOA's these days can be pretty awesome. The one in Mt. Rushmore is AMAZING!

I love camping. I grew up camping with my parents in a pop-up, then travel trailer, now huge 5th wheel with a fireplace! I consider that RVing and not camping. My DH and I love to pack up and head to the mountains for the weekend and camp out in a tent. I love waking up to the sunrise and the chirping of the birds. Then my DH gets out and starts the fire. Love having hot chocolate heated up on the campfire early in the morning as we prepare breakfast on the campfire. I don't like sleeping in the tent and am trying to save up for a pop-up of our own so we have somewhere to go in the rain but love everything. I prefer to go somewhere without bathrooms so we don't have any neighbors close by, just the wilderness. Plus I rather go behind a tree then some of those nast porta potties.

I like the idea of camping because I looooove the outdoors...BUT...
I keep thinking of the commercial where the people didn't have the right camping equipment and woke up to tarantulas....that's what stops me from camping right there!

My idea of camping is staying at Disney's WL.

However, I do enjoy hikes through the woods, swimming, biking....outdoorsie things like that. But when it's time for bed, I want a full bathroom with a shower, and a soft bed, to sleep in. I also like the idea of having electricity.

I know many people who do like camping, but it's not for me.

Nice set up you have there! We have a Road King and can't wait until the day we can afford to get a nice trailer like that!

No camping for me. I can see the attraction for people but my idea of roughing it includes a king size bed, air conditioning and a large screen tv with remote control.
