The campground is full for our Spring Break in March. I am so discouraged. Does anyone know if there is a waitlist? Do people ever cancel? Should we keep trying periodically? Argh, thanks.

Chin up - try this.

Book a longer period that includes all of the dates you want. Disney's ressie system is pre-disposed to favor long term stays (up to 30 days) and look down on weekend stays or week long during popular periods.

For a longer ressie than you need, book any length of time you can get for the type of site you want. Any room-only ressie requires only a one-night deposit. Then call back in a few days and drop the unwanted days to end up with what you want. The Fort computer system has been this way for years. Since you are looking for a stay during a popular period not far away it could still be problematic but this approach coupled with calling every day usually gets folks the dates they want/need.

For a shorter ressie than you need, you might even have to take what you can get as you keep calling back to add missing days to end up with the time period you want.

Good luck. Here is some pixie dust: pixiedust:

PS - no such thing as a wait list and people do cancel and make changes all the time.

PPS - I went to the Disney ressie website and typed in arriving 3/4/12 leaving 4/1/12 and got a Full site only for all those days. So reserving long will get you in if you can live with that type of site. (No Premiums, Preferred, or Partials). But try different 14-30 day periods that include your desired time frame and see what you get.

Keep calling and :surfweb:. Never give up, never surrender.

Thank you so much for all of your advice!! Great insights!! We are in a pop-up, so we are pretty flexible. I'll try it!

I also had trouble booking for the easter weekend plus some. I had to go onto the places to stay...campground page and click the "book your vacation" on that page to get a reservation. I hope this is the case for you too, good luck.
