I don't want to risk getting in trouble for posting a link, so if you want more information, you can PM me on this one (I do not have any connection to the company).
They dont mind at all if your posting links to help fellow campers make life a little easier...as long as you dont profit from it. Thats what these boards are for...making the most out of the camping experience, any help is good help.
I went back to the website where I purchased the scale (link below) and found that they now distribute through McMaster Carr. Not sure if the price is any better yet on other distributors. The link below also has a lot of references for trailer towing tips and things to watch out for. I found them useful and learned a lot.

I love McMaster Carr and use them when wanting to get just the right stuff. They are not cheap, but if you can't get what you want from them it probably isn't made. Their CS is also outstanding and second only to BTS in Arkansas. I just ordered some water hose for my outside low point drains from them last week, not cheap at over $6 per foot, but met my specs for what I needed temp, pressure, food grade wise.
I've had the Sherline 2K scale for over 20 years and use it all the time, best $100 I ever spent ... well almost.
