We are heading out in 14 days for the Fort.:santa: This if our first long trip (3 days driving, 6 at the Fort, and 3 days home), as a matter of fact none of our trips have lasted longer than the drive to FW is going to take. I am just wondering if it's hard, at this time of year, to find free spots at RV parks along the way.

Free spots, thats a new term for me, we are always looking for cheap spots. A lot of people have used Walmart/Sams Club as some of them let RV's park at night..

Passport America has a website where you can look at a U.S. map and find campgrounds along the way. You dont have to join. As the economy is slowing down travel it should not be to hard to find sites.

I've never had a problem finding an open site at the many campgrounds right on the interstate.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I have the first long trip worries (we've only had our TT since July) added to the Fort Wilderness excitement....add in my own case of "is it time to leave yet".... I guess I just need to chill out and relax...
