Camping near Universal

The KOA wanted $65 a night to camp with full hookups!! That's outrageous!

Are all the campgrounds that high?

We were thinking about taking the family down to Universal for Christmas break but one might as well stay in a hotel for that price.

How much is Ft. Wilderness?

Is there a cheaper campground?

The prices for FW are $56 - $92 per day depending on when you book. The Holiday season is at the high end and the low end would be before 12/18. Fw is not just a campground but more of a Resort, so the prices are reasonable to me. They do offer entertainment and transportation at the resort and parks. It might be hard to get a reservation at this time though.

Are all the campgrounds that high?

You wlll find that with supply and deand, the closer a campground is to the attractions (Dixney/Universal) the higher the prices will be.

You might try Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake phone 407-299-5581. I here it really nice and reasonable. I'm not sure how close it is to Universal
