Thanks for everyones suggestions for awning lights. I found 3 different kinds but one set I'm going to keep for around the house (deck, trees, etc).

Anyway, when you use them on your TT, do you keep them on all night or turn them off?

Also, I have white sets instead of color. Is there anything good to use to keep the bugs away? Should I spray them with something?

We have ours on a timer so they shut off at midnight.

As a camper in a pop-up, I would like to know that you turn them off. We were camping at the beach last week and the TT trailer behind us left them on all night, therefore it was bright in our camper! The third night, my DH went over and unplugged them and then went over and explained in the morning. :thumbsup2 They apologized and turned them off each night afterwards.
Basically - simply ask the questions - how close are your neighbors and will they light up anyone elses site.
Just my 2 cents worth

What would be the point of leavnig them on all night? It bothers the neighbors and uses electricity needlessly. It doesn't matter what color they are, although white one are a lot brighter than colored ones. I dont think anyone would have problem with you using your awning lights before 10pm, but turn them off at bedtime, please.

Someone told me that white attracts more bugs, that's why I was asking about using spray on them.

I just prefer white over the colored but I didn't what more bugs...

great...how about alligators? (hehe)

We leave ours on if the security is questionable. If we feel we don't have to worry about anything we turn them off but if we don't know, we leave them on. We have a big flap on our awning that completely covers them so they don't light up the entire campsite, just under our awning. It just makes it easier if I have to take the dog out at night too.

:tink:

ok here's the deal WIFE says off when i come in for the night. lol. timer is the way to go.
