We have camped at the fort several times in the past [stayed for a month last year] We did not plan on going to the fort this year. By chance we are going to be in the area the second week in March this year and when I checked all that is available are partial sites. We have a 25' motorhome and have plenty of room in our holding tanks for the 5 nites we would be there. I know what the "official" line is, but I was wondering if anyone knows if rigs like mine are allowed in the partial loops?

It has happened before. It's possible it could happen again. I'd have a backup plan, though. 25' is pretty short, not much longer than larger Class Bs which are allowed.

Eh, book it online and go ahead. I've seen plenty of large rigs in 1500 and 2000. As long as your holding tanks are big enough then no problem.

However, there is NO dump station at Ft. Wilderness, so you'll either have to wander through the campground when you check out and back into an empty site that has sewer to dump OR wait till you can get to a dump station.

Yeah, it's just another case where the rules and experience don't line up... which makes giving advice difficult. You know the rule, and you know that experience says that the Fort has even put large Class A's there, so what do you book? I would agree with Carol, book the partial, but in the event that Disney decides to enforce their policy I'd want to be prepared: first to make the case that what you're trying to do has been done before, and if that doesn't work be prepared to pay for an upgrade or to camp elsewhere (or do a value resort, or some other contingency). Heck, when you make your ressie and they ask about your camping equipment use some less-than-clear descriptor like 25' mini-motorhome... who knows if that's an A B or C? Hey, if they aren't going to be clear why should we feel compelled to? You might also ask for Loop 2000 since the sites are bigger in general.

First of all, welcome to this Dis Camping Board! :welcome:

Secondly, I camped in the 2000 loop last December and saw several larger campers. It can be done! As for the dumping issue....well, you could use the CS. (Not to dump, btw...I mean to USE  ) Most of the larger campers I saw were closer to the front which put them closer to the CS. Perhaps there is more space in those sites.

A partial ressie is better than no ressie! :goodvibes

A couple years ago we came back from the parks one night to find one of those multi-million $$$$ land yachts beside us (and us in tents). It was huge with slide-outs; no idea how they maneuvered that thing into a site on 2000 loop. I don't know how long it was but it was about as long as any of that type I've seen. Now it only stayed in the spot for about 3 days so I assume they arrived early and had to take what they could get until their ressie was due.
