Last year we camped in October and the weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold (we were in a tent) Next year we are thinking about May and wondering what the weather will be like?

Is it comprable to Oct or will it be much hotter?

Even early May is a little warmer than October, but it's not unbearable like the summer months.

That said, I still will not camp in May. While the weather was fine for tent camping, I've learned the hard way that early May at Ft. Wilderness means lots of biting deerflys. So, if you do decide to go, ask for a site far away from any water.

Good to know, thank you.

Not sure about biting deerflys, but May is our favorite time of year to go to Disney. The weather is usually nice, the crowds are light because it's in between spring break and summer, and the pools are great because it's not too hot to sit out by them and not to cold to get in. We live nearby so we can essentially go anytime we want and May and November/December are always our top choice. Also, the afternoon thunderstorms usually haven't started by then.
