I've been checking out the forums on the main page...

Like the gentleman who had his post moved over here a week or so ago and proceeded to tell everyone off, there are quite a few very opinionated people over there that are very full of themselves. :confused3 Oh, just ask if you can bring your refillable mug back on subsequent trips or how to get your short child past the measuring station and onto the rides and the fireworks begins. Fortunately, the camping world is much more civil and fun loving. Fort Fiends may be full of something, but it's not so much "themselves". :flower3:

Thanks!

Yeah, it's BEER and kungaloosh. LOL :hippie: Peace out dude!!!

We are all just one big happy loving family. :grouphug: And it is funny that it is like that at pretty much every campground I have ever met. Campers, in general, are just good people. And Fort campers are even better.

Wow,,you sure are gentle with your words,,," quite a few very opinionated people over there that are very full of themselves".,,,I never thought of them being THAT nice,,I would have put them in a much different light, a REALLY DARK LIGHT, and used much more colorful words for them.

Funny, my wife says I full of something regularly....

Now, what was that she always says to me?:confused3

Yep Frank, I was thinking the same thing. Once (and NEVER again) I asked a question on the family (I think) board. My question was answered right off the bat, but then there were about 10-15 people who did not actually answer my question, but gave me their opinion regarding what a horrible, terrible, abusive, crazy mom I was. It was quite the experience and one I never care to have again. I made up my mind quickly that the camping board would be the only place I would hang out!!!!!!!

I admit, I went over to the dark side once and stirred the pot after they had attacked us for some trivial matter. I asked if towels would be provided at the pool at WL or if I had to bring my own from FW. It was quite entertaining.

I know Ive always felt welcome. By the way, how do you make a kungaloosh? Been wanting to try it ever since joining the boards. Need to build up a tolerance for thr GG in June.:)

You? Stir the pot? I don't believe it!:lmao: Actually, I wish I would have been around to read it. If anyone could give them a run for their money, it would be you. And I mean that in the nicest of ways of course.

From a previous post by Born 2 Fish:

As I understand it , Kungaloosh was a drink that was started at one of the Disney Night clubs before they closed them. The Kungaloosh was said to be a okay drink but was perfected by one of our own fiends," ftwildernessguy".

I believe the recipe goes like this,

1/4 cup raspberry brandy or liquer
1/4 cup Morgans spice rum
1/4 cup strawberry daiquiri mix
1/4 cup orange juice
put in blender with enough ICE to make slushy.

How long ago did you do that? I feel the need to stir the ugly pot a little bit.

Jim, you never stir things up... Omg, i am just cracking up here... Lol

I"m full of myself, do I count? It's you people that are crazy and have problems.

I got chastised because I told a guy wanting to know if they could wander Main Street after 7 during MVMCP. I nicely explained that 'no, Disney does their best to escort unticketed guests out and politely advised he should be prepared to wear his flame suit, that attending the party without a ticket is a 'touchy issue' and he should be prepared for some not so nice answers.'

He flamed me! 'I just want a simple answer to a simple question...yada yada.'
I replied back and apologized, that I meant no harm, just wanted him to be prepared for some nasty answers, mine was not nasty in the least.

Then I rephrased my answer to him...

'Since you wanted a simple answer to your simple question, please let me put it in terms you will be more likely to understand....NO!!!:rotfl2:

Geeze, some people can't handle free help!

The problem was that you were nice to begin with. They're not used to that on the other side.:rotfl:

I think all the alcohol we bring with us to drink warms our hearts. We are filled with so much information and our warm hearts just let it flow. Coming back in a couple weeks and bringing alcohol. We really don't drink that much at home, but send us camping and I have emergency stash just in case. In case of what I don't know.

I think Fort Fiends just know how to enjoy Disney! Life is way to short to be harrassing someone about some of the things that the folks on the "other side" talk about.

Simply put, we are the "Koom by ya" of the DisBoards......(sorry, hope that wasn't too redneck):)

That was a GREAT thread, Jim! All discussions about re-fillable mugs are like watching a train wreck, too!

I haven't been to the "dark side" in quite some time. I need to go back for some "not so civil" entertainment. It's better than Don Rickles, Chris Rock, and any other offensive comedian, rolled into one show!
