:wave2: Hi. Has anyone ever camped at FW at Easter Time or Halloween? Do they do anything special? We are pulling a pop-up down--and I was thinking about Easter time or Halloween. How about some inside skinny about weather for these times of the year. I would appreciate anyone's insight as to good loops for pop ups (none of our 5 pets are coming so that is not an issue) Will have our three kids with us (8 yo-13yo). Thanks!

We love the 1500 loop for a pop-up ... small and near the Meadows Recreation area.

We have gone in late March/early April many times and the weather is usually perfect.

Don't know about anything special being done at the campgrounds for this ... never noticed anything, but there many have been some activity ... none that we happened to notice though.

Just know that the weeks surrounding Easter are JAM-PACKED with people. Full campground/hotels, capacity crowd at the parks (to where they are closing them), long lines .... on the good side, longer park hours.

Book early!

I didn't notice anything special per se. The Fort puts together Easter baskets that can be ordered through out Disney resorts and Holiday trading pins.

Halloween--they do the Halloween Hayride. Never done that.

Once in 1996 we saw the Headless Horseman riding through FW. He appears at the MNSSHP at MK.

Easter--last year we were there and on Saturday the had some arts and crafts at the Meadows Pool area. The kids got to decorate Easter candy hunt bags. On Sunday morning at Settlement area (right by Pioneer Hall) they did candy hunts for the kids. It was very crowded and not organized enough for my taste. The candy lasted about 15 seconds and most kids got very little. We were glad the Easter bunny came to our site while we were gone and left lots more things to hunt!

We camped in our pop up last year at Easter. Same as above, they had some activities but we did not stay around to partake in them. We spent the day a MK, very BUSY/CROWDED. Luckily, I had ressies at the castle for Easter Dinner. The castle was a good atmoshere but we wished there were other food selections. I thought they would have more choices for the kids, they ended up eating chicken fingers for Easter Dinner-Boo Hoo. The parks seem to be less crowded after Monday. We stayed about half-way between the front of FW and the back where the marina is located. I can't remember the loop number. You'll be happy to know -the bath houses were the best we've ever seen.
Good Luck with planning your easter!

We were there for both Easter and Halloween last year. They definately have more activities going on for Halloween. If I had a choice I would do Halloween in a heartbeat. The weather is great and you are not at peak season. Camping for $80.00 a night is not my idea of fun. I love the fort, but not at that price.
