Does anyone know the name of the campground near the GA/FL border, right off I-95? I believe there is a large, green sign that says the name of it just before you get to it. I know there is also a Cracker Barrel right by it too.

We have a reservation for the night before we arrive at The Fort Memorial Day weekend and it's at Country Oaks. My DH thinks that's the one we stayed at before with the green sign but I seem to think differently. The pics on the internet of the campground just don't look the same (we haven't stayed there since 2006 so I guess things could change).

is it the one right before you go over the bridge to get into Florida? If so we stayed there and i have the name somewhere!

Honestly, I can't say for sure but I know it's to the right and it's right off the highway...you can see in the campground from the road. I haven't traveled I-95 to Florida enough (we always went to SC for vacations).

We liked the ease of getting on and off the highway with that particular campground. And we are traveling over 12 hours the first day so I want to make sure it's the right place when we get there! :)

The camground right over the border into Florida is Hance's. It is advertised as the first campground in Florida. I can get you the info if you need it.::MinnieMo

It's no longer named Hance's, now it is Osprey, and it is a miserable excuse for a campground... even for an overnight stop. The Country Oaks CG just north of the border is scads better for the same price.

Yep, we always stay at Country Oaks CG. Exit #1 in Georgia. It's right across the Fla/Ga line. There is also a KOA at this exit. It can be seen from the interstate. I don't stay at KOA's so can't give an opinion. I like Country Oaks but be aware that they do not have a pool or playground if anyone has small children.
