Hi everyone! We're tossing around the idea of taking a camping trip to Charleston next spring. We're considering Oak Plantation Campground. Does anyone have any experience with this campground or have any other suggestions?

We stayed at James Island County Park a few years back. It was really nice. In warmer weather they have the pool complex open with a splash park and lazy river. At Christmas time (when we were there) they have a long drive through spectacle of lights with a gift shop, hot cocoa and Santa.

Have no info on Oak Plantation Campground, but we have stayed at James Island County Park and it was nice. We plan to be there again in 3 weeks for a few nights.

I just checked it out, and it looks like a really nice campground! I wish it had cable, though. That's a tough perk for me to give up! :)

Don't hold me to it, but I believe we could get over the air channels clearly at James Island County Park. My husband needs his news while eating his cereal in the morning.

We bring or buy DVDs or Blu-rays if we want to watch a movie. Lately we've been treating ourselves to one new Blu-ray Disc from Walmart or Target each time we shop on our camping trips.

We did stay at oak plantation 2 years ago. Quiet campground with a nice pool. I would definitely stay here again when we visit the Charleston are.

It looks like Oak Plantation may be our choice. DH is having trouble with the "no cable" thing! ;) I'm really excited to check out Charleston!
