We will be camping at FW for the first time in Feb'07. We are not new to camping or Disneyworld but it will be different camping there. That said, we usually have e campfire most evenings at the campsite. Is that allowed at FW? or is the only fire allowed at the communal one. We aren't anti-social anyoe can join us we are just creatures of habit.

Thanks for any insight.

I don't know of anywhere around FW that sells wood, so if you bring your firepit, bring the wood

I've mentioned this before about transporting firewood. There are some states that are struggling with certain diseased trees and have put some restrictions on the transport of firewood.

You may want to check this out ... I personally wouldn't want to be responsible for the spreading of a regional tree disease!!

DaddyDon is comming from Georgia, so no issues with the emerald ash borer (EAB) or wood transport quarantine here.

Firewood cannot be moved in many areas of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana because of the EAB quarantine ( Michigan, Ohio ,and Indiana ) Click on the individual state names for information on that states Quarantine.

It should be noted that teh quarantines only restrict you from REMOVING wood from those areas. Legally you can take wood from another area into a quarantine area, or you can transport through an area. The restriction is once you stop in a quarantine area, all wood must be consumed there.

Anyone know if the new campfire rules are online somewhere? I'd hate to take everything I need for a campfire and find out I can't use it for some reason.

Thanks.

In the winter the local mart stores and Publix sell firewood. Hope This Helps
