Thursday night (the 6th night of our 7 night trip) we took the boat from MK over to FW. We ate at Trails End Buffeteria. I found the food to be very good. Not a huge selection but everything seemed to be someting that I liked so it worked out great for me!

The sing-along was pretty neat, with some character interaction and a chance for the boys to go up on stage and dance a little. And the movie was Toy Story. You can't go wrong there.

The boys had fun. (which is really all that matters) My 2 y/o fell asleep during the movie, and my 4 y/o's favorite part was the bus ride back to the transportation center.

My take on it was this...

It was a neat experience... It would be a great experince at any other campground in the USA, but as we sat there for a couple of hours I was thinking about all the the other stuff going on all around us, show, rides, fireworks, etc... My take on it was if you are staying at WDW for a long time, or go alot it's a good idea. But if you have 3, 4 or even 5 nights at WDW I personally would not use one there.

I do think it's a good option when the parks close early and you don't want to be at Epcot, DTD, or the Boardwalk.

We usually go when we are camping at FW, but not when we are staying somewhere else. It's especially nice when you can just walk over from the campsite.

We went to the campfire twice during our stay back in May. We found that going on the night of our arrival was the best plan. We were able to unpack, take a ride on the monorail and then instead of wasting a days entry we sat down to a great movie. We got our first autographs from Chip and Dale and loved it. True there lots to do around the parks, but a calm evening is nice too.:wave2:

We plan to take the kids on our late May/early June trip. With two weeks we'll have some evenings to fill. I think the campfire and singalong will be perfect for them.

We drive to WDW and always plan on arriving one night early to stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. It's now a tradition to eat at Trail's End the first night and go the the campfire for Smores and the movie. The General Store is also our first big Budget Bust because we always buy lots of useless stuff out of excitement for our first night at Disney.
Is anyone else nervous walking around there in the dark, though?
