I was wondering if you can go to this campfire program when you're staying off-site. And if it's only for resort guests, is there a chance they will let you in if you have e.g. a PS for a FW restaurant ? Has anyone done this or what do you think ?
Thanks:rolleyes:

I don't think anyone will ask for your resort ID. The seating is outdoors on benches and there'd be no way they would be able to check everyone out.

Some would say that you shouldn't use a resort privilege if you aren't staying on-site. I would think that if you went and it was really busy and resort guests missed out on a seat because you were there, then it would be really wrong. Staying onsite allows you the advantages of participating in these events. Staying offsite saves you money, but you miss out on programs like this.

Although I doubt they would ID you, resort perks are for resort guests--it would kind of be like using the resort pools.

I know there are many, many who will disagree, but this is just my(whole family's)opinion-don't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out to go to the campfire program. Maybe for real little ones it would be ok, but when we got there, we thought it was the lamest thing we'd ever seen- we were looking at each other like"is this a joke, or what?"And believe me, I am a sucker for Disney magic and good ol'fun. We got out of there as fast as we could. The only way I would recommend it to anyone is if they didn't have anything to do their first night. No, you know what... I still wouldn't recommend it, I'd relent and say "Go if you must!" The Disney Store is more fun than the campfire program.Oh well, I thought Liberty Tree Tavern was really lame, too, contrary to the majority of posts I've seen!
Let the flaming begin!I can take it!!LOL!!

I think that whether or not you might like it depends on the person and certainly what movie they are showing that night.
We did it many years ago when Beauty and the Beast had just stopped running in the theatres and that was what they showed.
Obviously a great movie and it was fun seeing it on a (kind of ) big screen under the stars. The campfire bit was a little hokey...but then again does everything in our lives have to be overproduced and overpolished??
I would think you wouldn't have any problem getting in without an ID. However you will have to take an internal bus at the Fort Wilderness campground and it does take a bit of time to get back to it. And in the spirit of using a perk you aren't paying for we found we were the only guests that attended that weren't camping there and there were LOTS OF EMPTY SEATS. So I wouldn't think anyone would get too upset. We certainly stood out in our clean yuppielike clothes from everyone else though.
If you decide to go BRING BUG REPELLANT, your own bag of marshmallows and stick (instead of having to pay for a stick...Disney doesn't miss a trick), And maybe even a pillow and blanket and you will blend in with all the campers. You can even call ahead to find out what movie is showing what night.
Good Luck!!
