Has anyone been yet? It sounds like fun but it might take some rearranging of my slightly obssessive schedule. I'm wondering if it's worth it. TIA :)

I've never heard about this and we've stayed at POR a couple of times and booked again for next year. I'd also like to know if anybody has done this :woohoo:

Are you talking about the campfire at fort wilderness:confused3

I didn't know POR had one

I think you mean Fort Wilderness...which in my opinion is not that exciting, but I also do not have children.

I heard from friends it was fun. There were stories about the resort and and they made smores.

Hmmm...I sure hope there's one at POR.

We've been to the one at Fort Wilderness campground and we thought it was awesome! Chip & Dale came out for hugs/pics/autos with the kids (adults, too!), there was a sing-along, followed by a movie. To make it even better for DH, there's a snack shack in the back that sells all kind of yummies for the kids.........and ice cold beer for the adults!

If you're at WDW for a while and can spend an evening relaxing instead of going into a park, I would suggest going.

POR campfire. We'll be there next week. May have to check it out.

Campfire on de' Bayou - From October thru February on Sunday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 - 8pm, guests can enjoy story telling and sing-a-longs around the campfire. This activity takes place behind the Fishin' Hole. S'mores kits can be purchased for $5.25. (This event can be canceled due to weather.)

Where is this info posted? Just curious. We will arrive there 1 week from tomorrow.

I'm not sure. I saw it on another much smaller Disney site and thought I'd come here to see if anyone had been. No mention of characters :confused3

How about you go, Lisarenneeo and report back :) I'm not leaving for 40 days.

Nice info....I wonder if they will start doing this at more resorts.
Sounds like a great idea

Never heard of this at POR but would love to read a review from anyone who has attended. May have to trek over to POR if there are good reviews on this.
