I am not staying there but when i go in october i will be seeing the late show of HDDR on a friday. What time is the campfire open and will i be able to go there after HDDR is over? If so do i need to bring my own marshmallows and stuff? It looks like it would be a lot of fun to hang out at after dinner.

I believe they light the fire at 7:30, then follow with Chip and Dale sing along around 8. Not sure what time HDDR ends. You can bring your own s'mores supplies or buy them there.

Do you know how long it runs?

In the fall the sing-along starts around 7pm and lasts for about 40 minutes. We usually try and get there around 6:30 as Chip and Dale are walking around for a little bit before it officially starts and our kids got to interact with them for a little while with not a lot of people around. You can bring your own marshmallows, but they also sell s'mores kits at the Chuckwagon there. I don't recall how much they are but the kits come with the roasting sticks.

can you get roasting sticks for free if you bring your own stuff?

We were there in September and the Campfire starts a half hour before the sing-a-long. For us, the sing-a-long only lasted 20-25 minutes.

They roast marshmallows, but I don't believe they have s'mores kits to buy there. (At least they did not 2 1/2 yearstuffed ago) But, you can byo graham crackers and hersheys bars...

We were just there last week, we hit it up after Mickey's Backyard BBQ. They sell the full roasting kits there. we had so much extra, we ended up just giving all our smores supplies away there. The kids thought it was ok, I thought it was just ok. The campfire is just 2 pits set up on each side of the movie screen, and there are seats and bleachers and chip and dale come around on opposite sides and greet everyone, We didn't even get to meet Dale, took forever. The mosquitos were TERRIBLE. We didn't stay for the movie. I am glad we did it, it was a fun experience.

Do they have this at Wilderness Lodge too?

Right now, due to construction, Wilderness Lodge guests are being sent to Fort Wilderness. Similarly, the nightly movie is being shown inside.

When the Lodge has campfires, they do not have Chip and Dale or a sing a long.

Chip and Dale split up and visit the wooden bench seats first. So try to get a seat there.

So if they split up, sounds like there is no photopass photographer? On your own for pics?

Just there last week! It is a cute show and a great place to meet Chip and Dale! There was no photopass photographer there. You are on your own!

Chip and Dale do split up with each going to one side to meet with guests. You need to be seated to meet them. They will totally ignore you if you try to stand up and form a line. I saw several parents try to send their children up to them, only to get ignored.

Have a magical time!

My family is hoping to do the same later this week; but I'm just a bit concerned about feeling like we're rushing to get from the BBQ to the campfire. Did you feel that you had ample time between them? Also, approximately how long is the walk between the two? Thanks!
