Does anyone know if there are people available to help someone get backed into a camping space? My mother will be there in November and is a little nervous about backing up. My brother usually does it, but he will not be with her this trip.

Thanks for your replies and suggestions. Any advice is appreciated.

There are always helpful campers around who will be happy to lend a hand. I'm sure anyone around would be happy to help. I know I would. I would just ask when I got there.

Someone will probably pick up on your message from this board and offer their services. We too are from Alabama but we are going in October so could be of no help to your mom. If no one picks up on your post in a couple of days, post another one w/ more of a description in the subject line as to what you need. It may catch someones eye as some of us don't read all postings!
Have fun! I know we will.

We are going in November, When is your mom going? we are going 11-27-12-06. My husband will back it in for her

Thank you all for your advice. She has decided to go ahead and give it a try. Hopefully someone will be able to help her, if not, she will just figure it out (it could take a couple of hours LOL). There is a possibility we will be able to leave a day early and go down with her, but we aren't sure yet.

Thanks so much for the offers of help. Unfortunately, she will be getting there on Nov. 7th. Is the lighting good enough to guide her because it may be dark by the time she gets there.

Thanks so much for your responses. Hope you all have a great trip! We can't wait!!

I still think if you post a new thread with a description something like, "NEED HELP BACKING UP CAMPER ON 11/7!" then I think someone will respond that is willing to help. The only problem would be finding them since you don't get an assigned space until you get there; but maybe they could leave a message at the check in desk for her so she can find them. Good luck! Leaving in 13 days w/ two of our three little angels!

I believe if she tells them at the front check-in, someone will go down and help her back in. Once we had to call and tell them there was no way we would be able to get into a certain site and they asked if we needed someone to come and help us. (We couldn't fit into the site because Fifth wheel was to long and couldn't make the swing around trees and trash can). DH is a truck driver so it's not like he can't drive. We just were put in a different site. So i believe they(DISNEY) will help you if you need the help.:)

We'll be getting there on the 7th of November too. DH would be happy to help your mom if she needs it. Hopefully we'll be staying in the 100 loop and arriving around lunch time.

Also, the CM's at FW will help guide your camper in, but they will not do it for you due to liability. Just an FYI.

PM me or post here if your mom wants to hook up.

Hey does anybody remember when FW first opened. A cm would escort you down to your site then back in your equipment for you. Boy was that a long time ago.

The last time we checked in the CM asked if we needed any help getting in the site. We didn't but I remember them asking. Can't hurt to ask when you get there. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
