From a new Democratic "527" radio ad that's playing in "urban" areas in several battleground states:
"Republicans want you to sit out this election and simply stay home," one radio ad tells listeners. It continues, "Bush is a rich man in the White House who is sending black men and women to be slaughtered in Iraq while Cheney and Halliburton boys get rich on oil. Don't keep getting played."

All I can say is "Wow...." :sad2:

But that's not hate and fear! Only Republicans do hate and fear!

this would be the politics of fear, would it?

Wow. A girl on another board said we haven't seen anything yet out of the Kerry campaign. (She works for the campaign in her state.) If it gets any better than this...

Dovetails pretty nicely with Kerry's "The GOP are going to try and suppress a million black votes" speech of a couple days ago, doesn't it?

You think this is bad? Wait until the day after election day if Bush wins.

Even if he wins by a landslide, there will be screaming and holloring EVERYWHERE after the election of 2000. Nothing is off limits anymore.

The liberals have brought out the race card and then it will be scaring senior citizens about President Bush cutting social security and starving them. I'm almost sure the libs will also say that the hurricanes are caused by the President. I just started receiving soc. sec. and will be voting for Mr. Bush.

Doesn't surprise me...it's politics, and this is a high stakes game. I don't think you'll hear President Bush complain much about it either. Which is a nice contrast to his opponent and all his surogates. Their new campaign strategy this past month or so has consisted mainly of whining "Make them stop!".

I hear that Kerry is already asking the FEC about "recount advice." Sounds like he is ready to contest the election.....no matter what.

There's speculation that if the electorial vote is close again and there's a couple of closely contested states, then 2000 will look like child's play. Ironically, it'll most likely be due to some of the reforms that took place after 2000. In many states now persons not on the registration rolls will be allowed to cast a provisional ballot. After election day the decision to allow each of those votes will be made on a case by case basis. In 2000 three states were settled by less than a few thousand votes. Add to that some of the problems that have popped up with touch screen voting systems... Can you imagine the lawsuit firestorms that could erupt on Nov 3rd?

I'm already waiting for Kerry to start screaming "RECOUNT!" after the election. I'm willing to bet he makes Gore look like a graceful loser.

If Bush is announced the winner, there will be lawsuits filed in ALL the battleground states. It will be just like last time. We'll all be in limbo for as long as the Dems can drag the lawsuits out.

And if Kerry wins, will not the republicans do the very same thing? ::yes::

Doubtful. I think if Bush loses, he'll go back to his ranch and be very happy. If Kerry loses, his whole reason for living is gone. Look at Al Gore. Admit it, he's kind of lost it a little

or declare martial law...

Admit it, King W thinks he's a god.

With the complaints about all the votes counting, why do the liberals always go beserk when it is suggested that a person must show a valid ID to prove who they are before they vote? They recently tried to clean up the voter registeration in Indianapolis and the liberals came unglued. They found a few hundred dead, several thousand had moved out of the county and nearly 200,000 had moved to another address unknown. Nearly 40% of the "registered" voters are questionable. This opens up the potential of fraud.

My late uncle was very active in politics and I know what happened on election day. If you have to show an ID to cash a check and get on an airplane, why not show a valid ID to vote? I do know the answer .

I believe you have him confused with the former President
