Gordon: he sighed. "They're talking about how much they hate me in there. Am I really that bad?" He put his face in his hands and ran his hands through his shaggy long hair.

Ev: She spoke softly. "Gordon, they don't hate you. You're a great warrior and friend. They might be a little frustrated, but that's not hate."

 

[Fairywings]

OOC: I agree

Jay: "No Hope, it's okay to let it out." He held her tighter. "Again, Gordon is flawed, but he's is a good friend and fighter. Hey, let's let look at the postive." He smiled. "You get a place to live with me and your other friends. I'm stoked."

Hope: She smiled. "For the first time in my life, I will be certain where I will wake up the next morning. You have no idea how much that alone makes me certain that I need this to happen. And I don't have to worry about people trying to kill me in the middle of the night, or being mugged when I leave the house, and we get to go to a real school building, with, like, laboratories and libraries! And when I need new stuff, I can get it! I don't care what the others think, I can live and not survive."

Gordon: "Why does everyone care that I'm a good fighter? I just-" he sighed. "I'm sorry. I just-I just had my heart broken. That's never happened to me before. It hurts. It really does. And I was already in pain, and everyone's complaining about how much of a jerk I am and that I'm a spoiled rotten brat. I know I am, but I really don't mean to be."

Jay is just trying to comfort Hope like he should be doing, and Hope hasn't had the 'luxuries' that we're used to, or even as easy a life as godhood or taking a nap for 70 years. Her definition of 'suffering' is so painful that it's irrational to her to name being separated from a friend or loved one as suffering, so she doesn't understand how you can call your separation from Britannia suffering, and you can't understand why she can't feel your pain, when in reality, that wouldn't even register as pain to her, her definition of pain is something most people can't understand. Ergo, there's a rift. She doesn't hate you, she's just frustrated."

Mike: "Thank you. You're a pretty honest and fair guy as well Gordon. Everyone's got their good points and their bad points. Hope is extremely smart, but she's got a temper. I try to be polite and kind to everyone I meet, but I'm stubborn."
