Camp meals- frozen chili

I think that there is room for both fun AND information on these boards. The fun loving attitude of the Fort Fiends is what attracted me to the Dis in the first place. Maybe if you lightened up a bit then folks wouldn't give you such a hard time. We are talking about the happiest place on earth, after all. If we had to be all serious and stuff, how much fun would that be???

Well that lightening up is why the Community Board was created and this forum is for actual information and NO I WILL NOT LIGHTEN UP in this forum expressing my opinion so get used to it and I don't care about being a given a hard time or fitting into the "click" here since some that do that are already on my ignore list in the "CHILDISH" folder. There are IMHO places for "stuff' and places for actual help and information and those that can't tell or respect the difference I can't help, but can and well still comment on when I feel it appropriate like in this thread.

I now apoligize to the OP for making even this defending "OFF TOPIC" post in reply the the previous two or more "OFF TOPIC" posts and I'M DONE HERE providing more noise to the actual topic and wasting future poster doing a search and seeing this thread which is the REAL SHAME in all this.

Larry - Maybe you should apologize to the OP for being so mean and nasty.

Shellie - I hope that Larry's post doesn't give you the wrong impression of life on the camping boards. We really are a fun-loving bunch around here. Do we sometimes get carried away with our fun - yes. But unlike Larry, I think that most folks appreciate the friendly banter that accompanies the factual information that can be found on this board. I hope your chili turns out great. I would give you my advice, but I don't have any because I don't cook!

Don't forget to recycle your ziplock bags! (Unless you do something foul to them, then I am sure no one wants your ziplocks, or better yet, to be around you forting!) I get 2 cents a bag for those big honkers for my classroom recycling fundraisers for my lab! It helps raise money for the supplies for the kiddies!

Now, go make some chili and get some forting done!

Larry - I hearby banish you from the 1600 loop. You need to go back to the 1900 loop where you could fruit fly fish. You were much more relaxed and fun back then. I have to admit that from time to time I've actually learned things from you and picked up on a good idea or two. Lately however, you've been a not so nice guy. Honey attracts more flies than vinegar, and if you want people to learn from you (which they can when you're not so caustic) you need to be a tiny bit more pleasant about it. Please?

What do you get for the qt size bags? That's the size I normally use and I would be glad to save mine (wash them of course) and mail them to you. Does your school do the box top thingy? I can save those & mail them, too. How about Campbell's labels or any other items? We can start a "Support Jen's Class" campaign!!
