What do you do with your camera and camcorder when you go on water rides?? Is a ziploc enough protection?:confused3

On the River Rapids ride in AK, there is a compartment in the center of the boat where you can store your belongings. We put our cameras in a backpack and then the backpack went in the compartment. I don't remember anything like this on Splash Mountain.

Put it in a bag in the compartment and make sure you snap that plastic cover down don't just lay the cover on it cause on the ride it might flip up over the bumps when you get splashed.

We used a ziploc and the storage thing. In order to stay drier I wore a shower cap! My kids were not thrilled  but my hair was fine at the end of the ride

I used a large zip lock bag and the storage compartment - worked very well. This time I bought a waterproof bag at Academy Sports (like for canoeing) - as I will use it for other water related things as well.

In my first photojournalism class in college, we were taking current news shots. That day, it happened to be storming, and our professor had bought each of us a water proof camera case. He said it was the same kind the professionals used and to consider it a gift (meaning we could keep them). After all the hype, he pulled out Ziplocs!! Haha!! They worked great and the shots didn't have a filmy look to them at all.
